I think the non-goal was a goal - It looked to me as though the puck didn't hit the cross bar, it hit the netting and bounced out, but I could be wrong. The main reason is because there was no ping! I could have sworn the I saw the netting move. It happened awfully fast.

NSN's video replay showed what looked like a goal on Mulvey's shot.

I was wondering what the fans take was on the no goal-from my vantage point it looked like the shot hit all net and other fans seem to agree. It also appeared that the Plattsburgh and Norwich players also thought it was a goal. Prez was the video clear enough to verify that it should of been a goal?

From Section 22, Row 3, Seat 1 it was a goal. No crossbar, but it bounced like it was. I can understand the call, however. Who knows what the long term effect on the game would have been. A hockey game is like a Markov chain. Change the state of the game at any point, and the flow goes entirely differently.

To quote the great umpire Bill Klem on calling balls and strikes "some of 'ums Balls, and some of 'em's Strikes, but they ain't nothin' 'till I calls 'um. Substitute goals and non-goals for balls and strikes and you've got it.

Actually our replay was kind of inconclusive ... but Channel's 3 and 5 said their angles showed the puck in the net.

All and all a great game ... great way to finish the first semester ... and a "good" tie for NU.

The channel 3 sports just showed the no goal of last nights Cadets- Cardinals game and slowed motioned the shot down and it was a goal as the puck did hit across the goal line. So Plattsburg did get a lucky tie :D:D

Well, again, who knows how the game would have proceeded from that point forward. Would Norwich have played with the same intensity in the third period if they were down by one instead of two? We can't really answer those questions. It was what it was...a tie!

That's odd, Channel 5 just showed the slow motion shot too and said it was not a goal.
