If they wont talk health care until the government opens and they are getting the blame for the shutdown and they aren't going to pass it anyways...YOU STAY THE PHUCK OUT!! This is negotiation 101...I would know I taught the class.

Twice now in under a year the Dems did their best Mike Lynn impression. (Vikings fans and Cowboys fans should get the reference)

Pretty funny it wasnt until today Angus King told us ICE got paid while no one else did. Seems like that would have been something to talk about every day...

Of course that is only true because of the stupid bill that passed...which happened in part because in March instead of fighting and shutting down to try and prevent the abortion of a bill Schumer and the Dems caved, funded the government and allowed the bill to pass. I remember a lot of people saying "well this will just be kicking the can down the road...come the Fall the government will shut down and the Dems will have all the leverage!" Why does that sound so familiar...

Since you brought it up…

The right nuking the major cities would be the largest slow suicide in history, unless cutting yourself off from every possible ocean port somehow worked out. Not to mention the “a lot more than you think” amount of military installations located near major cities. And that’s not even getting into the impact of cutting off major road and rail arteries.

Like, I don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility, but it would be so unbelievably stupid that I can’t think no one would say something.

But they don't know that. They seriously think they can play Fortress Farmville and never trade again. "We have the food." That is all I ever hear from those guys. The cities are parasites where nobody has a real job. They want to run the 1632 Series for real.

As much as I know how stupid those people are, and believe me I do, Wasilla is way too close, I still believe someone along the necessary chain of detonating a nuclear weapon would say “maybe we should think about this?”

I know it doesn't matter but this deal only lasts until the end of January. If the Senate does pass something on Health Care (if the votes are there) and the House doesn't take it up the Dems could just shutdown the government again. Let's hope that is the strategy.

Yeah we all know that...another shutdown is a phucking stupid contingency plan. First of all the Dems will have zero leverage. Second they will be responsible for what is happening in the eyes of tbe voters because they got zero assurances from the GOP that anything will be done. Third the GOP will just wait them out knowing they will cave.

The Dems had two chances to deal with Health Care and walked away both times. The voters know its all talk and they have zero actual interest in doing anything. Another shutdown will hurt the Dems more than it will hurt the GOP because the GOP has zero to lose.

Usually the idea of a good negotiation is no one is ostensibly either too happy or two sad...both sides feel they got something but not everything. Well look at how the GOP seems to be reacting...do they look like they are upset? Meanwhile every Dem voter from Leftist to Centrist is throwing a fit. Even people who worship pols like Schumer like Ezra Klein are ticked off.
