While I'm sure he was trying to bury it, Twitter has more impact than Fox. In fact Fox' only impact at this point is people reacting to it on Twitter. Just let it alone and let it poison those morons in the quiet of their ignorance.
I guess the idea is to broadcast it to the boobs on hurr hurr teevee and then retract it in a place they'll never see it since they can't even figure out how to tie their shoes.

After typing that, I'm not sure I believe a word of it. More likely was that McCarthy called him and said, "shut your f--cking hayseed hick face. Every time you bend over and speak directly out of your a-ss, we get 50 questions from reporters and we have to look like we're apologizing to Democrats and can't get back to ****ing the poor, women, and minorities."

She’s raised plenty of money for Democrats and they’ve literally blacklisted progressive orgs like the ones that got her into congress. She’s not the hypocrite here, the DCCC is garbage and constantly throws its weight behind bad candidates like Joe Manchin at the expense of viable more progressive ones, even ones that win their respective primaries. The interests of the DCCC and the interests of the Democratic party are not identical. I'm not sure I agree with what she is doing here but she is trying to provide leverage and visibility in the fight to emancipate the party from the hidebound forces which, deliberately or not, refuse to work for substantive change. For the Dems to genuinely move Left, and not just as a pose or some Republican fever dream, a lot of toes are going to be stepped on.
trix, the DCCC is not garbage, it is a necessary organ of the party. 90% of the time the members of the committee do their job, which is to get the best fighter to the venue with the tools and training to win the bout. They are a cautious and backwards-looking institution, perhaps unavoidably; all of their vested resources are by definition TPTB, and all bureaucracies ossify. The way to reform the DCCC (and all party institutions) is for people committed to a better democracy to expose it to activist scrutiny and recapture it from the forces that are always working to neuter agents of change.
