The right has been spreading an image of a woman in the Somalian army from 1978 saying it's Omar at an al-Qaeda training camp, as part of the GOP's ongoing effort to get someone killed.

Pretty interesting how the Legislative Branch can't do anything (Turtle Boy needs Trump to pass (vote) anything on guns apparently) without the President. I didn't know that was in the Constitution.

538 analyzes the NC special election results and concludes Dems are probably outperforming around 5 points in 2019.

We outperformed by 11 points in the 2018 Blue Wave.

Studies in 2018 showed Dems need about +6 to overcome 2010 gerrymandering and current GOP voter suppression to reach an even playing field. They didn't factor in the outright electoral fraud which the NC GOP engaged in and which will presumably be SOP for the Nazis everywhere next year.

The election isn't for more than a year so much more can happen. The Nazis can lie and bribe their way to renormalization to 2016 levels, or their continued incompetence and criminality could trigger a global depression and bust things open.

We'll see. Looks 50/50 right now whether democracy lives or dies.

Cue Schoolhouse Rock..

Any bill needs to pass both houses (problematic at best right now) and then get the signature of tD (maybe). If they can override a veto or gets actually signed by tD, it must be a very popular bill.

There are bills that would pass with veto proof majorities that the GOP holds up because only a minority of republicans would support it.

Try again.

Such is our republic. Is it perfect? Nope. But the founders wanted a "more perfect" Union, not a utopia.

We elect 3 people who we think will best represent us in the Congre$$. The other 532 are beyond our control. We hope, we pray even, that they will act in the best interests of us and the Republic. Alas, because we elect imperfect people, sometimes they don't.

We have another chance every 2 years to get it right. If our 3 don't measure up, we screwed up. But we get another shot 2 or 6 years later.

One solution? Turn off the gd TV cameras and maybe they'll quit posturing for the cameras.

Another solution? Stop voting for Nazis. Stop lying to yourself about them. Stop contributing actively to the destruction of our democracy.
