He destroyed the last person he ran against (a selected woman Democrat) and that woman had won state wide in Kentucky for Attorney General. The new hand picked candidate could not even win in the bluest district in the State in 2018.

Turtle Boy isn't going anywhere. It's ****ing Kentucky.

Nancy once again spending more time whining about the women of color in her caucus than actually doing something useful like investigating/exposing Trump's various crimes. Which is ironic because she always publicly chastises them in the media.

Yeah, she's pulling a Biden/Klobuchar. Basically the I can suck Trump off and get Republicans to vote with me.

She isnt going to get to 30% (let alone high enough to win) if she runs any other way and you know it. If she goes Progressive she might as well quit now. Her only chance is to convince people McConnell sucks at his job and needs replacing. Even that wont get her over the hump but it gives her a chance. The alternative is a loss 100 times out of 100. I know the "Did Our Best" crowd is fine with that but I actually enjoy when Democrats win elections ;)

So it is your contention she has a better chance of winning in TrumpLand as Progressive Democrat? Not a chance. Maybe if she was running against some clown nobody knows but the Senate Majority Leader...BAHAHAHAHA!

Her best bet is to run as the outsider, a Democrat who isnt a crazy socialist (cause in TrumpLand everyone who thinks for themselves is a Socialist ya know!) and will do what is best for the people she represents. Running any other way will get her nowhere. She doesnt have to act that when she gets in office (and she wont) but she isnt going to win if the people dont think she represents them.

(she isnt going to win anyways so it is all academic)

Yeah, trying something different than, "I'm slightly less of a Republican than the Republican who keeps winning" is a better strategy because that one literally has no chance of working. Acting like they need to keep repeating the same failed strategy over and over and appealing to the authority of the failed dem leadership is laughable.

If someone like Katie Porter can win in a solidly red district as a progressive then it's at the very least worth trying elsewhere.

Even the average Fox News viewer could see through this seeing as nobody mentioned anything remotely related to using the dem socialist branding. :rolleyes: I don't think Abrams branded herself as a socialist and would've won in a deep red state if it was a fair election. You can promote more progressive policies and show the voters that you actually intend to do something helpful without using that label, it's entirely possible.

edit: I should also mention KY (like WV) was a deep blue state for a very long time with Dem Governors/legislatures, a mixed bag at the federal level in terms of senators, and mostly blue house members.

That was when the Dixiecrats were the racists. KY didn't change. The Dems just kicked the Klan out and the population went R. But it's the same morons we used to get.

Better off without them even though it cost a generation of the WH and SCOTUS. Now drive a stake right through their f-cking heart. We'll never get KY or MS or WV but f-ck them. They can live in the Nineteenth Century for another 500 years; they're done.

Except for capitulation on guns, trying to play the Third Way game isn't going to get you elected in a red state anymore unless it suddenly comes out that Itch was prowling malls in Louisville for some side action with 15 year-old girls back in the 70s. Though at the rate the 'Pubbies are going, it wouldn't shock me either.

If you mean recently it doesn't, though state leg parties often aren't anything like the national party. In big states they are but in small states it's typically a battle between two different coalitions of crooked real estate developers and the party tag means nothing.

I dont usually support that plan I just said it was the smarter plan for her in Trumpland if she wanted a chance to win. You cant fix stupid though ;)

Although...they do love stupid down there so maybe this is her attempt at 4D chess :D
