The banality of evil. We see it everyday in this country. Don't think for a minute it would stop if and when they actually start using gas chambers. Vast numbers of people are cowards and ideology desensitizes people to suffering and gives them excuses. The usual suspects will just say we're all "overreacting." And don't forget "we're all born to die anyway." That is how it always goes.

It isn't evil that kills millions. Evil has the idea but it's the mediocrites of the soul, the nation of shopkeepers, that actually does the murders. And the teevee will continue to dole out entertainment and Amazon will deliver goods on one day Prime, and the majority of people will ignore the genocide and continue to be good consumers.

Chuck Todd continues to prove he is part of the problem by ripping AOC for her "Concentration Camps" comment. Chuck Todd sucks...

Her comment is correct...people are ripping her because it makes them complicit and they wont have that!!!

Meanwhile the WSJ Opinion Page is upset cause Trump is attacking the press.

They had no problem with the tax cuts and wouldn't trade them for a President that cared about the Press.

He's a joke. Russert is rolling over in his grave at what Meet the Press has become. It's unwatchable dreck now.

Strassel carries more water for him than anyone else I can think of so I don't know why they're bent out of shape about him attacking the NY Times.

Well, I found an article with that point of view. I don't agree. Our Congress failed us again. Just like it has now since 1980. AOC and people like her are the replacements. But, they need actual power to ferment actual change. And that won't happen until the GOP is dead cause all they need is 51 seats in the Senate and they control everything.

Be that as it may, it has nothing to do with Russert (and the media's) complicity in that war. Bill Moyers did an outstanding piece on the media cheerleading in the run up to the war and interviewed all of the talking heads. Some wimps like Bill Krystol refused to go on camera but idiot Russert was one of the people with a "oh well, sh it happens" attitude. :rolleyes: He wasn't the resolute truth teller in life that he apparently became in death.
