Re: 116th Congress: Episode 1 - Trial by Fire

you've just created millions of anti government martyrs.

Martyrs? Problem solved.

I wouldn't care if they only killed themselves, but they're a risk to us, too. Antivaxers are drunk drivers.

Nearly half of parents are on record saying they do not want that outcome...and that means some damage to American education. What's the resulting cost of just one additional person in poverty? In law enforcement, welfare, tax shortfalls?

I'm fine with the outcome...but I've got investments I can liquidate.

When they fall into poverty they'll need blankets.

Nearly half of voters went for Donald Trump. What’s your point? That we should listen to what the morons have to say?

My point? I don't want part in your antivax war cuz I've got a guns epidemic to worry about. And yes, I feel quite fine about my priorities.

I have no problem overestimating the social impact of taking away 100% of any freedom.

I think it’s funny you’re worried about the one right that is arguably written into the constitution and the one you don’t care about isn’t.

The blames mine. I did respond your question against my better judgement...

Re: 116th Congress: Episode 1 - Trial by Fire

Science wins again.

“A 6-year-old unvaccinated boy from Oregon was forced to undergo excruciating pain for nearly eight weeks in the hospital after he contracted tetanus, which can be prevented by a vaccine, as the first case of its kind in the state in nearly 30 years.”

https://thehill.com/policy/healthca...-from-oregon-was-states-first-tetanus-case-in

And the upshot -- the parents refused any vaccinations after the patient survived a preventable illness.
This child should be taken from these parents, who obviously are not doing what is it in the best interest for the patient/child/s safety.

I wonder if they’re paying the 800k bill too

A full blown outbreak of measles, mumps, and rubella nationwide would quickly change your mind.

I'm supportive of the concept, but I expect that the 'cure' of mandated vaccines is 'worse than the disease' for the country.

If I remember right, the highest vaccination rate in the country is in Mississippi or Alabama because they don't allow any exemptions. Either your kid gets vaccinated or no school, no exceptions. They have like 95 percent vaccination rates.

Even if the parent doesn't give a Fark about education, they want the free daycare school provides.

Re: 116th Congress: Episode 1 - Trial by Fire

I often wonder how many of these anti-vaxers and people that support the parents' 'right to chose' are also pro-fetus?
Are there people that think having a child get a shot is too much of a burden, but forcing a women to subject her body to growing a human for 9 months is not?

As much as the fetus fetishers are fatheads, I think this is a very different group of chuckleheads. Marin County isn't a hotbed of Jesus jacka-sses.
