Hickenlooper is a Governor; Senate is a step down.

But I'd take that advice for:

Bennett (CO, challenge Gardner in 2020)
O'Rourke (TX, challenge Cornyn in 2020)
Gravel (AK, challenge Sullivan in 2020)
Messam (FL, challenge Rubio in 2022)
Booker (NJ, incumbent up in 2020)
Gillibrand (NY, incumbent up in 2024)
Klobuchar (MN, incumbent up in 2024)
Sanders (VT, incumbent up in 2024)

Isn't Bennett a Senate incumbent in CO?

Regardless CO Dems have a deep bench. Plenty of people can step up and take Gardner out.

I like O'Rourke as a potential VP candidate better than a Cornyn challenge.

Gravel - who cares.

Messam - who? Would like to see Gillam take a shot at that race however.

Booker can F up but it'll take a political tsunami for a Gooper to win that seat. NJ GOP is almost completely wiped out. They hold like 1 House seat out of 10 or 11.

LOL. He is. For some reason I think of him as a Rep (that reason being he's invisible).

Regardless CO Dems have a deep bench. Plenty of people can step up and take Gardner out.

Hickenlooper would be the best. Gardner sucks but the CO GOP gets lots of dark money (MIC?) plus they really know how to rub and tug the gun nuts.

Beto only gets Veep if we top ticket with an Old (Bernie, Liz, Joe) and that would be terrible because that means an all-white ticket and lots of grumbling from You Know Who.

Cornyn is going to do or say something so rock stupid it might even be too much for the TX GOP. He's a volcano waiting to lose it. And Beto is a lot better than the Castros, who blew their chance.

Messam - who? Would like to see Gillam take a shot at that race however.

Gillam and Abrams definitely have to keep trying -- the FL/GA GOP can only cheat for so long. Messam is a "soldier of fortune / crazy small town mayor" who may or may not be corrupt AF. He's another Marion Barry waiting to happen. Those guys are oddly lucky with the electorate who seem to gravitate to a fellow f-ckup.

That's good to hear. I always think of the Jersey GOP as one Goldman check from contention. Booker stole that check.
