115th Congress - Still 100% Roy Moore Free

Re: 115th Congress - Still 100% Roy Moore Free

We bury our head in the sand and believe she has no shot. Just like we did with Mr. Trump.
Clinton didn't beat Trump by much in 2016 in Minnesota, but the Democrats might have a couple of things going for them. In addition to running against Trump's record, Klobuchar is up for re-election. Running two female candidates against Trump's record might resonate in Minnesota, although a lot can happen between now and November. It's also no guarantee that Smith gets the nomination. Could be plenty of Democrats lining up to take that spot.

If Trump couldn't win Minnesota in 2016, Bachmann sure as hell has no chance in 2018.

Scooby makes a fair point, though. Most of us have done a shytty job of predicting outcomes recently. That appears to have been the case across the pond too.

When it became clear that Franken would have to step down, it seemed a shame but a necessary step. There will be some injustices with this flood of accusations, but a culture change is needed.

BUT the thought of Michelle Bachmann moving back to DC and into Al Franken's office would be galling beyond belief. Our Minnie friends here say she doesn't have a chance. So, if Parise does tell her to run, who do we pray to to make sure she doesn't win? Do we go to Beelzebub for help here?

No, only scooby, and he's literally never been right about winners in political races.

Or my favorite was <strike>Paul</strike> Scott walker is going to smoke everyone.

Edit: that was an unfortunate slip.

I wonder if Mitt looked into the Abyss and decided it wasn't for him.

Romney doesn't have the subtlety of mind to even realize there is an abyss. He is not what one would call a thinker.

Longshot? Not from where I'm sitting.

Trump was an underdog all the way through and you know it. You are like that dude at the track who picks the 20-1 horse every race. Do we need to go through all of the "locks" you guaranteed that didnt get close to coming true?

That's the fun of a message board. But, I'll iterate this again. Trump was never a long shot. Walker, yeah. 99% of anything else I say, yeah. But, not Trump. The election and the pure hatred of Mrs. Clinton proves that. We have hindsight now and hindsight illuminates it perfectly.

You always pick The Darkest Timeline. That's your thing. Picking Dump was consistent with that.

He won, so, uh, congratulations? But it was a case of a broken clock being right. I'm not going to go back and list all the things you've said were guaranteed to happen, but every other one didn't. Which is good for the world, because you always jump to The Hellscape Scenario.

But it means you don't get credit when one plane crashes, because you picked every plane to crash.

LOL.

That's what we'll lose 2020.

Re: 115th Congress - Still 100% Roy Moore Free

Like any coach of any team you figure out how or why you can lose and you find a way to make sure that doesn't happen. None of that happened during the Gore, Kerry, or Mrs. Clinton runs to the Presidency. And that's why they lost. And if the Democrats do it again they will lose again. I pick the wrong way every time because they're winning things in spite of themselves. Not because of what they are doing.
