Too bad. I was enjoying seeing Hatch turn into Roy Moore before our very eyes, while the Beltway Bobs of the national media tried furiously to cling to the notion that he was a "reasonable Republican". This the same senator who made a fuss about Clinton getting hummers from overweight interns but had no qualms about Trump colluding with Russia.

Bachman above all is a media whore. She had an insanely large PR staff when she was a rep. Of course she's going to try to get her name out there, especially if someone calls her up and asks, but there's no way she runs. It's not like she stopped being a rep because she hated the attention.

Bachman was Trump before Trump was Trump! Natural progression for what the party has become. Bachman is a mainstream Gooper now. Heck, she might even get a primary challenge from the right! :eek: :D

Turmp is dangerous for many reasons but primarily for his overarching narcissism. For Bachmann, it's her religion.

With Bachmann and Pence it's the substance of their beliefs. With Dump it's the utter absence of beliefs. Bachmann and Pence are immoral. Dump is amoral.

Though with Dump the danger comes from the combination of amorality and pure stupidity. Dump is incredibly stupid -- he makes C+ Augustus look like Reinhold Niebuhr.

When it became clear that Franken would have to step down, it seemed a shame but a necessary step. There will be some injustices with this flood of accusations, but a culture change is needed.

BUT the thought of Michelle Bachmann moving back to DC and into Al Franken's office would be galling beyond belief. Our Minnie friends here say she doesn't have a chance. So, if Parise does tell her to run, who do we pray to to make sure she doesn't win? Do we go to Beelzebub for help here?

We bury our head in the sand and believe she has no shot. Just like we did with Mr. Trump.
