115th Congress - Still 100% Roy Moore Free

families making under 50k are not paying a lot anyhow. so even if you take 100% tax cut of that is isn't going to compare to a cut of any substantial amount for higher incomes.

who will be the first person to rightfully claim that balancing the budget () should start with defense? :D
We’re not paying anything at all. The point of making the credit “fully refundable” means it’s a straight welfare check after all other refunds are made. It’s direct cash assistance to poor families with kids.

earned income credit you mean? (EIC)

The child tax credit that Rubio inserted late; the original bill had it at $2k but 900 non-refundable. Now 600 of it is non-refundable. (In Congress “non-refundable” means “refundable” and “refundable” means “welfare check”).

Well, everyone was warned. Just more money to the 1%. Typical. This has to be the stupidest ****ing nation on Earth.

In 2021, net neutrality will be passed as a law and not just an FCC ruling, after the public outcry finally gets a chance to be heard.

I like that less and less people identify as Republican, meaning that that 66% isn't going to be enough outside of primaries.

It's good but it's deceptive. A lot of "Independents" are like the folks here "oh mercy no, me?, I'm not a Republican" but just happen to vote Republican every time there's no Libertarian. If the GOP was losing votes at the clip they've lost registered members they'd be down to about 30 Senators now. Other things are going on.

Hopefully, but we're going to need to nuke the filibuster for that. With cloture at 50+ we can start turning back some of the plutocratic stuff. Never at 60. With the way things are now culturally no party is getting to 60 for thirty years.

It’s time for Moore to abort his campaign, but instead he emailed supporters today asking for $75k to investigate voter fraud and irregularities.
Is this the new tactic? Make up lies about voter fraud to try and delay the election from being certified?

only delay is probably the bill collectors coming 'round.

since when does 'certification' rely on the loser conceding?

I suspect the Alabama SOS will certify regardless of what Moore thinks by the new year. Moore is just using the new right wing grifting tactic. You used to have to write a book or get a job in RW media. Now you just beg for money straight up.

They seem to think there are a zillion voter fraud cases to investigate . I think that’s nothing but the usual GOP bull****.

Re: 115th Congress - Still 100% Roy Moore Free

Last I checked the only documented cases of voter fraud were all Republicans...shouldnt cost 75K to investigate himself ;)

Do you think his horse voted :p

While the tax bill is passing.

Members of Congress will still be able to see their medical providers if they continue to neglect a critical responsibility: extending funding for a vital public health program serving rural and urban communities. Unfortunately, the 3,000 patients now served by Moorhead, Minn.-based Community Health Service Inc. may not be able to say the same beginning in early 2018.

Congressional inaction could cause clinic doors to close or services to shrink in one or more of Community Health Service’s main locations: Moorhead, Willmar, Rochester and Grafton, N.D. Two of its mobile clinics serving regional farmworkers may also wind up going nowhere.

“It’s getting harder to keep our hopes up,’’ said Executive Director Kristi Halvarson, whose organization will be among the first community health centers in Minnesota to see federal dollars dry up. Along with other community-center advocates, Halvarson began lobbying Congress last March to reauthorize funding that expired in September.

The uncertainty hovering over Community Health Service and 1,400 organizations like it nationwide is a disgrace. Thousands, even millions of the nation’s neediest patients served by providers like these may soon be scrambling to find care if legislation isn’t swiftly passed to keep grants flowing to what are known as “federally qualified health centers.’’

Merry Christmas.
