Yeah, you gain $900 and your kids lose their future to GOP debt. That's just brilliant.
Obviously it’s a terrible bill. The difference I’m talking about is child tax credits with a 21% corporate rate vs. nothing for me with a 20% rate. Given those 2 options, I’ve got my hand out.
Yeah, $900 a year (which is nothing) vs. the destruction of America. It's a clear choice.
That’s not the choice. America is being destroyed whether or not the Poors are granted a small concession. Do you think lowering the corporate rate from 21 to 20 will save the country? It’s negligible.
Even corker is a yes now.
Remember when Dubya sold his heist with $600 in every pot? Same old sh-t. When conservatives say voters will fall for anything as long as they imagine they're getting "free stuff," they're projecting.
Now the next step will be to say to anybody who points out $300 a head is a ripoff compared to what we are being raped over for, "well, maybe $300 is nothing to Mister Elitist City Slicker Snob, but here in Real 'Murica it really makes a difference." And the rubes will lap it up.
The rubes aren't lapping it up though. Is there any demographic aside from "country club billionaires" and "hedge fund dudes" who support this tax bill? It can't just be Dems making it the most unpopular piece of legislation in at least the last 30 years.
LOL
It wasn't going to pass until they conceded that $900. Now it is. Everything that gets this bill to pass is a destructive force no matter who it benefits.

No idea. I was heartened that Comcast said they would follow the spirit of it regardless what the Feds said. Maybe if the majority of the CEO's realize that the public will be ticked at them if they don't they can make it work.
I’m honestly surprised if the thing you guys are most infuriated about in this whole mess is that families under the 50k median are getting a tiny little crumb of the giveaway. By far the bulk of the benefits are going to the rich.
Comcast backed off their commitment when it was announced that this was a sure thing.
Take a gander at the future of the Internet thanks to MEO Internet in Portugal.

66% of Republicans support the bill. That will go even higher if it is passed because then it is just points on the scoreboard to them.
It's like Net Neutrality, which Republicans also support because of braindead deflections like "get yer Soros gubbmint outta ma internet!"
The rubes will buy anything with an R stuck on it. They have been trained by 25 years of Fox and Hate Radio to reflexively hate anything D and love everything R, no matter how much it harms the country and even them.
