Obviously this was not a bellwether, Scoob. It was a one time* target of opportunity. Jones could be the greatest Senator since Daniel Webster and he will lose his re-election bid in 2020 by 25 points. We know that.

Savor the moment. Enjoy that we just cut the GOP Senate lead in half.

* Unless Moore is the nominee in 2020. Which could happen. This could be a gift that keeps on giving.

Unfortunately for scooby, 58% of women went for Jones. 98% of black women voted for him.

We need a black woman president. The demo that went hardest against a pedophile.

Could Jones take this momentum and announce his candidacy for the White House in 2020 instead of running for re-election as a Senator?

I mean, he could, but he's a complete neophyte and his only electoral success is beating a guy who ranks below Ted Bundy on the morality scale.

Jones' job is to get re-elected in two years. If he does that he is golden because getting rid of Senators is tough.

The fact that several hundred thousand people voted for a sexist, racist, homophobic pedophile still is quite disturbing.

And the fact that 65% of white women in Alabama wish they were Roy Moore's date when they were 13 years old is more than disturbing.
