And then we have this. I stand by my claim that the GOP can't be in charge in Congre$$.

@wxdam: 17 people die in a high school and a month later there's a nationwide protest to get the attention of lawmakers.

One dog dies on an airplane and there's a bill in the Senate rectifying it within 48 hours.

@SenJohnKennedy: I will be filing a bill tomorrow that will prohibit airlines from putting animals in overhead bins. Violators will face significant fines. Pets are family.

just wait for the bill outlawing poodle abortions!!

Re: 115th Congress - Fantastik! Try to remember we vote in November.

I expected more partying on here over the recent election recount results. Never mind that the candidate who won had to campaign on supporting Trump's policies. ;)

Whatever sad lies you need to tell yourself.

He provides a service. He's the closest thing we have to a genuine Trump lab specimen. A subject isn't without value if you can't ask it questions. You can learn a lot just by watching its behavior.

Watch how the narratives change. Watch which excuses are used and which lies are repeated. It's a real privilege to have this kind of empirical data offered freely. I for one appreciate it.

Flag, Fish, Drew and joe are a good representative sample of the right. Flag is the InfoWars dupe looking under every bed for a monster. Fish is the RedState dittohead mindlessly repeating what his programmers have told him. Drew is the Ted Cruz teenage intellectual regurgitating transparent PJ Media ironies and thinking he's laying sophisticated traps. joe is the polite, educated First Things sage vamping Chestertonian dignity while reaching for the next Churchill bon mot. We've got em all, here, and it's fun to watch how they play their respective hands.

And yet, instead of asking "it" questions, there's just posts imitating what a late night comedian's spin on Atrazine is.

However this shakes out, the optics are still pretty bad for Dump:

My aunt lives there. Not that it's worth anything, just seeing that surprised me. It's also where RMU is located.

And that last statement is why it isn't surprising. Take a look at the dealings of ACORN. ;)

It hasn't said anything without clearing it first with Brietbart in about 3 years.

And yet the last time you posted something that first had to be cleared by Snopes was, what, 3 minutes ago?

Re: 115th Congress - Fantastik! Try to remember we vote in November.

I'm happy about Lamb. How much of that 20-point swing away from Dump and the GOP can we depend on in November?

By the last district map we need to win the national House vote by about 8 points to get to .500 in the House (moral of the story: win state legislatures). We tied the national House vote in 2016, so we need an 8-point improvement to be in the ballpark -- call it 10 points to build in certainty.

This is of course assuming the orcs don't literally just steal it by burning votes, or voters, like their hero Putin.

State legislatures isn't going to help you in the House. It could have helped in the Senate, but y'all don't want to get on board with repealing the 17th.

Every local yokel media outlet should be required by law to mention what f-cking state they're in in the lede. We aren't all from down the street by the crik, you f-cking rubes. How the hell do I know which dirtbag no account moron state this is about?

OK, so I actually do know which dirtbag no account moron state this is about, but as a matter of principle... and it carries double for police stories. "The town of Melonville was rocked today by..."
