11/04-11/05 Michigan Tech vs. Minn State - A Civil Chat Among Future WCCHA Teams

Re: 11/04-11/05 Michigan Tech vs. Minn State - A Civil Chat Among Future WCCHA Teams

Per PucKato...
Forwards Michael Dorr and Eriah Hayes will be back in the lineup, giving MSU a full lineup of forwards (but still no extras). But with only five healthy defensemen, senior center Joe Schiller is going back on the blue line, a position he's been in before.

While forwards Max Gaede and J.P. Burkemper practiced this week, neither has been cleared to play yet. Defenseman Danny Heath put on his skates on Wednesday and hopes to be ready soon. Meanwhile, Chase Grant, Tyler Elbrecht and Brett Stern have not returned to the rink.

Well that's one difference between Tech last year and Mankato this year. Tech had d-men playing forward rather than forwards playing D. Not that either case is good...

So last week I called for Tech to sweep Denver 5-1, 4-3. I am perfectly willing to admit that I was, because I was wrong.

This week, Tech Sweeps 3-0, 3-2. Hopefully this week they don't make me into a liar.

We have to give you credit on getting the correct total goals scored for each team!

You realize that a large majority of us, that post, aren't living in the area anymore, so we can't go to the games, right? ;)

Of course, if you really want me to, I can wear black on my couch, or on a barstool or wherever else I end up tonight.

what? you don't live here anymore? you got graduated? I thought everyone lived in the Copper Country, otherwise known as the Center of the Universe. :p:)
but for the homer crowd coach has called for a "blackout" - so if attending try to wear black.

I can contribute to the blackout if someone hands me a full bottle of whiskey. :p

I'm not buying the "Mankato may not win a WCHA game" thing anymore. Tech may not have had a great game, but that was a lot of MSU-M. The Mavs played the passing lanes well, turned the puck over, and had one of the strongest D in terms of holding the blue line among Tech opponents this year. We'll see what they have left in the tank tomorrow, but I was impressed tonight. They didn't have much of a powerplay, but the defense was strong and they were opportunistic.

Most years, if you can't score a single goal against Tech, that means you're a good candidate to not win a single WCHA game. :p

I didn't see the game or get to listen but I only want to know one thing. How bad is Olson hurt. did he stay on the bench or no?

Re: 11/04-11/05 Michigan Tech vs. Minn State - A Civil Chat Among Future WCCHA Teams

Cut the **** thing off and cauterize it on a hotplate, we cannot lose Olson. He can suck it up and play with 9 fingers.

HN and Shirtless - I hope to see a thing of beauty tonight - three entirely full sections of Misfits - tip o the hat to the founders!
Just a couple of kids with a love for hockey and doing what we can for the program developing into something we can be proud of.

Hats off to Misfits for getting into the Spirit(s) and supporting the team.
Thanks to the current President for actively recruiting and making event opportunities available.
Thanks to the BlueLine Clubbers for supporting the cause. :)

Tech is going to have to solve a couple problems tonight. one being Lee's hot hand. we've got to score more. luckily for us Robostop was also hot.

Congrats to Mr HF. If I was him I'd be wearing the same garb until they lose, all the way down to the underwear.
