#1 Boston College vs. #6 Northeastern - HEA Semifinals - 3/18

Re: #1 Boston College vs. #6 Northeastern - HEA Semifinals - 3/18

That said, I'm still bitter and I will be rooting for MC when I'm at the garden tonight. I think it would be good for hockey east and hockey in general for an underdog to win. Go Mack!

I'm not rooting for MC cause I'm bitter. I would have been rooting for them no matter what if NU lost. I will even be rooting for them in the NCAAs too. The underdogs are always who I like to root for after my team.

No need to be bitter, the better team won. If anything, be upset at your goalie for the 4th goal. Sure seems like Cronin was. Sure 3-2 is different than 4-2, but NU wasn't even able to score in the 3rd until the refs got involved.

To be honest I would have pulled Rawlings earlier. It wasn't necessarily the goals that he let in that were terrible, although the 1st and the 4th were pretty soft, he was just a "deer caught in the headlights" all night long. He was fighting the puck terribly, and a few times he gave up rebounds and had no idea where the puck went.

I thought Muse was a little shaky the first two periods but played really well in the 3rd. I thought we did a pretty good job of containing the best first line in the conference, but as always, BC can roll 4.

I for one welcome our eagle overlords and I'd like to remind them that as a trusted internet personality I could be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their above ground trophy caves.

I'm an NU fan. After 10 years of crushing Beanpot losses, I'm allowed to be bitter about NU losses. I am bitter about that 4th goal. Even that third goal (great goal by Whittney, should never have gone in, but great goal). I'm bitter after every goal. I'm bitter after every loss and as a fan who has been through heart ache after heart ache, I have every right. I will be bitter if bc wins tonight. If MC wins tonight, then bc will not win the national title. They won't break their tradition of having their last loss of the season in a national title winning season, be someone other than NU. So on that note, GO WARRIORS!

OK Eagle fans, show up tonight and cheer loudly as 3 of 4 schools bitter fans will be rooting against us :)
Let's see if BC can rise to the occassion again in big games.

That's something that I don't think has been brought up yet. I know BC doesn't seem to care about a game unless it's against bu or for a national championship, but how do you fill up only 2-3 sections of the balcony last night? Merrimack and NU are the only teams that gave BC any trouble this year and there were barely any students there. It's fine for us, it practically felt like a home game, but I'm confused.

MC sold out their student tickets this morning in 15 minutes...line started at the box office at 8 AM AND the kids are on break...won't see that at chestnuthill.

If the Mack ends up in Manchester next week I can only imagine how many tickets they would sell...

I'd imagine these games are old hat at Chesntut Hill but now.

Roll your eyes all you want but I'm not accepting poor goaltending just because you think I should

You can think whatever you want about your goalie, I was merely pointing out to you that you yourself angrily posted that your goalie SHOULD have made those two saves in which case NU wins the game 4-3, then 10 minutes later you were arguing that NU fans weren't playing the shoulda, woulda, coulda card after I had brought it up. Did you forget your post that quickly??:rolleyes:

don't be confused and i think you can figure it out but i'll help you. We have been there so many times that it isn't a big deal any longer. This will be i think the 12th championship game?? correct me if i'm wrong. There are 9 Hockey East Championship trophies in the trophy case so while of course i believe that there should be more students there i can't complain about the student attendance this year, it's been great and the school leads HE in attendance by a wide margin but you are partially right in one thing, the NCAA's are what it's all about

Salvo, do you think you can really compare the two? the excitment on your beautiful campus and Mack going for the first time in quite a while and second time ever? with BC and it's perceived apathy for the HE Tourney? and bravo to all of you for that excitement and lines at the ticket windows during break, i think it's great. I will be upset if the Eagles lose tonight as i am every time they lose but i certainly will be happy for you guys and that a new team won it. i think it's great for not only Mack but the league as well

Good ole salvo, put a sock in it. There's quite a difference when you're at the garden every year with people thinking about tickets to the regionals compared to making it to the garden for the first time in 13 freakin years

This is cute...there will be more BC students there tonight....and even though Merrimack student attendance was high, they had no idea what to do, little coordination to make any noise other than when Merrimack scored etc...Lets see how they respond tonight with another big student section right next to them...should be a fun night

BC sells their tickets to both games, because they know they'll be there Saturday night..
