I dont expect anyone to be a hero...but if your sole purpose is to do one job and you cant do it, dont have the job. He is there to protect the students, he failed. He shouldnt be there protecting he students.

So apparently Rick Scott says the state of Florida "will require all individuals purchasing a weapon to be 21 and older." THAT will certainly help. :rolleyes:

My cousin's husband is now sharing crisis actor BS on Facebook. I don't know whether to call him out or just let him sit in his bubble. He has already been sharing those "why would we listen to these kids? They eat tide pods!" memes.

Always hard when family is part of the 33%. I have very close family like that. I will not listen to them and we do not talk politics.

My best friend from HS has slipped into the Dumpy camp. Or, rather, he knows Dump is a criminal and a drooling imbecile, but he wants to end immigration and tear down the statue, so he's willing to put up with the rest of the derp, even The Heist.

It's incredibly depressing so now I just stay away from politics with him.

I saw one of my facebook acquaintances share a similar thing. I just unfriended and blocked him. I don't care if someone is like Drew and just loves guns. But when they get into the delusional state, I block them. Not worth it.

I won't unfriend someone for being a moron but I will block them. The former is about our private relationship which is way, way more important than anything public and transient like politics. The latter is about the aggravation seeing them be stupid and losing respect for them. I don't need that pushed in my face.

I have a lot of leeway in who I'm friends with. I have a number of friends who voted for Trump. I have friends that think the restrictions on even automatic weapons should be relaxed somewhat. But I can't respect a person if they believe Sandy Hook or this Florida shooting was a fake. I won't associate myself with that kind of wretched person.

Car rental company Enterprise and First National Bank of Omaha have severed their relationship with the National Rifle Association.

First National Bank of Omaha said Thursdsay it will not renew a contract to issue its NRA-branded Visa credit card.

“Customer feedback has caused us to review our relationship with the NRA,” a bank spokesperson told CNBC. “As a result, First National Bank of Omaha will not renew its contract with the National Rifle Association to issue the NRA Visa Card.”
