    2026 D-III NCAA Tournament Pick'em - National Championship Game

I almost picked 2-1! Glad it wasn’t the difference in winning and losing. congrats UC! And thanks for running this. Was fun to see so many entries

2026 NCAA TOURNAMENT MEGA-THREAD: THE ROAD TO UTICA

If Emmanuel and Simmons ever started hockey and played for the national title they would win. They are literally right next to each other. Alfred and Alfred State being across the street from each other too.

Norwich Hockey - Time to Regroup

Agreed! Definitely didn’t think Hamilton would take it!

    Hamilton College

Honestly don’t think that streak will ever be broken. But I also didn’t think anyone could win three in a row in this era either.

    RIP Mercyhurst NCAA Men's Hockey

Elmira had a NYCHA banner forever too. I’ve heard the Plattsburgh leaving the trophy on the ice story too.

    RIP Mercyhurst NCAA Men's Hockey

Elmira had Joey Spinelli too who was quite special.

    2025-26 Division III Women's Hockey

I think 23 camo Cadets are with you.

    2025-26 Division III Women's Hockey

You said it best. Absolute collapse by Norwich. Up 3-0 and 4-2 and somehow dont win. They were lucky to not lose it a few moments before the GWG when they gave up an odd player rush almost instantaneously. I didn’t have a good feeling once we went to OT…the way the two teams went off it was...

    2025-26 Division III Women's Hockey

Absolutely embarrassing for the NCAA to not have working audio for their first 7 minutes of that game. How did you not test it 20 times before the start of the game?

Mercyhurst Announces Academic Adjustments and Discontinuation of its Division I Mens Ice Hockey Program

What's ironic is the success and path of the men's and women's hockey teams are probably what paved the way for the addition of so many sports at Mercyhurst, including the eventual elevation of the entire athletic department to Division I.

    2026 D-III NCAA Tournament Pick'em Semifinal Games

Haha. I did not do the tracking of that. But yeah it's probably been what almost 10 years since someone was doing that? Might have been one of those things that fell defunct during COVID.

    RIP Mercyhurst NCAA Men's Hockey

Also, same head coach for basically their entire existence. Rick Gotkin announced his retirement after 38 years at the helm of the program earlier this year. The only year he wasn't the head coach was their inaugural year in 1987-88.

    RIP Mercyhurst NCAA Men's Hockey

I don't know how many of the "newer" posters will remember since it was a long time ago, but Mercyhurst used to be a very relevant name in the Division III world. They started out as Division III program and then transitioned to Division II for awhile, but still participated in a combo Division...

    2026 D-III NCAA Tournament Pick'em Semifinal Games

Yeah this board has seemed to have a little bit more life this season...been a nice refresher.

    2025-26 Division III Women's Hockey

Practice day for each of the final four teams in River Falls! Norwich arrived in Minnesota yesterday mid-day after flying out of Boston and they held a practice at University of St. Thomas' new rink. Obviously you have to play the games, but I think Norwich is a pretty solid favorite vs...

Utica University 2025-26 - The Road (back) To Utica

I was there in 2008 I believe when Michigan was there and they played Clarkson in the regional final and there was a decent crowd there, but even then I think the official box score only listed it around 4K or 5K.

Utica University 2025-26 - The Road (back) To Utica

Albany is also a 16K seat arena…so no matter what, it’s going to look empty. Gavin McKenna should draw some fans. Michigan will draw some fans. It won’t be great, but it also won’t be the worst attended regional I’ve ever seen

    2025-26 Division III Women's Hockey

Emily and the Middlebury community can all use the entire D-III women’s hockey community’s prayers right now.

    2026 D-III NCAA Tournament Pick'em Semifinal Games

Can’t imagine an east team has ever played 3 west teams in the same tourney.
