Colgate vs. NCAA Tournament Semi-Final winners...
0-4
Colgate vs. NCAA Tournament Semi-Final losers...
2-4
Those that we had the most success with this season, Dartmouth and Cornell, bowed out early, while Michigan State and Quinnipiac advance. That fact of 'cream rising to the top'...
I thought the same thing. A 9 p.m. puck-drop? I know that they are wanting people to work a full day, go home, change clothes, have dinner and drive downtown for the games, but that is ridiculous!!
Rainman, scarily, you and I think alike.
The easiest and best way to judge Strength of Schedule is to look at the previous year’s NCAA Tournament participants. For ‘Gate next year…
Quinnipiac, Dartmouth, Cornell - 6 games.
Connecticut, Providence, Duluth - 2 games.
On a separate but related...
Barb, this whole weekend in Lake Placid, hotel rooms were nearly impossible to get, and room rates were as high as $750. Traffic was unusually high for the ECAC Hockey Tournament weekend. Buses were ferrying people out to Mt. Van Hovenberg. WTH?? Well, it was the Cross-Country Skiing World...
Magoo, I don’t know if I am going to a Regional, let alone where I will be going (if I decide to do so). I may stay home and save money for the Friendship Four tournament in November. But, by Wednesday, I will likely start thinking how I could do Albany on the cheap. Tomorrow’s Selection Show...
Clarkson Doug and I were in Lake Placid (and Cornell Greg watched on ESPN+) and we all agree… “The game tonight was dull for 50 minutes, then it finally became an exciting championship game for the final ten minutes of regulation and the entire OT.” Dartmouth Doug is a happy camper tonight.
Congratulations mbenecke!!
And thanks again TalonsUpPuckDown!!
I am sitting in Lake Placid this weekend after watching Dartmouth and Princeton prevail yesterday. I felt pretty good about my chances on here, but, oh, well…
It may take away one weekend, but I don’t think that games in Alaska count against your maximum number of allotted games per season.
This past season, Colgate went on the road to Maine, Boston University, Michigan State and New Hampshire. From a fan’s perspective, I really enjoyed the tough...
Well, it was fun while it lasted.
There is plenty of time now to review the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of what was the 2025-26 Colgate season. Thanks to the ‘Gate players, the visible staff, the invisible behind-the-scenes staff, the families and my friends for another fun season overall...
Thanks, ColSkate65. I enjoy making the updates, but only when they aren’t actually playing. And it is much easier when I am solo, like this weekend. When I am with friends, I want to be ‘in the moment’ with them. I also wish that I had played hockey, so that I could give better analysis. But I...
Clarkson Doug is very happy after last night.
We are both very happy with Harvard’s win, too.
Clarkson Doug and I have our tickets for Lake Placid ECACs and Las Vegas NCAAs. We also have ‘em for Salt Lake City NHL and Henderson (Nev.) AHL, too. Alaska Mike, Dartmouth Doug and Cornell Greg...
he he he… there must not be much to say after tonight’s 4-1 drubbing since no one has said anything on here.
There was no offense.
There was no defense.
Our goalie kept it closer than it ever should have been, as it was a shooting gallery most of the night.
From here on out, every night is...
Reid Dyck led Colgate out onto the ice for tonight’s pregame warmup at Dartmouth. Emmett Croteau is in net for Dartmouth.
Colgate pinged it off the pipe.
8 minutes in and Colgate scored! Shot from the point; likely deflected. Jake Schneider from Jacob Napier and Isiah Norlin.
12 minutes in...
Prior to last Saturday’s tourney game vs. Yale…
34 games: 12-18-4
Non-Conference; when Colgate scored first, 1-3-1; when opponent scored first, 2-5-0
In-Conference; when Colgate scored first, 5-1-2; when opponent scored first, 4-9-1
P.S. - And last Saturday, Yale scored the first two goals...
From the College Hockey News (CHN) ECAC Tournament weekend preview…
2. Dartmouth (19-7-4, 13-5-4 ECAC) vs 7. Colgate (13-8-4, 9-10-3)
Even though it appears that Dartmouth is a lock for its first NCAA Tournament in 46 years, the Big Green have big aspirations in the ECAC and are looking for a...
