    I can understand Michigan would be reluctant to play at Alfond. Why play at a rabid fanbase venue where your chances of getting knocked off by what has normally been a low rpi team are pretty good? How does this benefit Michigan? And there is the revenue aspect, or lack thereof, to consider...

    Excellent thought. Michigan would be a perfect fit for Portland. That would generate considerable interest in southern Maine, and as you say, be close to a different venue in the Boston area maybe so they can play another opponent that weekend. Make it happen.

    My money is on uhn “stealing” one this weekend. Then coach can claim he was one of a few that won in Alford, further claiming his program has turned a corner. Winning at the Fond might be the worst case scenario for your fans.
