The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
That's awesome if they're able to get an NCAA program started. No clue how that would work with the NCAA... has there ever been a D3 program at a D1 school (hockey or anything)? Have to assume it's a precursor to a D1 program in the near future.
Started looking at Maryville University after seeing LIU's schedule. Seems like they have been putting up some good results in the ACHA and are getting ready to test the D1 waters against LIU and UAA (along with a trip to Simon Fraser). Lindenwood is just up the road and previously shared an...
I'm very curious about Hiram's goal for adding hockey. There's a good handful of private schools around Ohio and the vicinity that have sizable endowments, so maybe they want to be the first through the door if other schools are looking at starting their own programs. Should be a good base of...
Might as well keep some off-season discussion going. D3HKY posted asking what schools would people want to see start up or revive hockey programs. There are a few new teams on the men's side with Beloit, Hiram, Roger Williams, St. John Fischer, and West Connecticut.
Whether speculation, hopes...
Is it just me or does the Penn State schedule seem like a joke? Flexing a .764 win % for OOC matches, making it to the Frozen 4, and going all in on recruits like McKenna... to go against the powerhouses of Stonehill and LIU.
Where have you been finding names from recruiting? I've been using Gopher Puck (but that's more D1 transfers) and Elite Prospects but its missing a lot of names you posted. Thinking of doing a similar post for the upcoming LEC season.

A Penn State sports news page is reporting McKenna was offered around $700,000 in NIL compensation. Penn is all in on McKenna and just set an insane bar for future hockey NIL deals.
Starting to get a glimpse into the LEC schedules for this season with Babson and Norwich's released.
Seems that the first day of LEC conference hockey is November 7th with Babson vs Keene and Plymouth vs Norwich already lined up.
I might be biased, but already circling February 21st on the...
Pretty interesting schedule for Hiram. Surprised by the 4 MASCAC matchups considering the travel distance... but guess it makes sense for the skill level.
UNH, and the USNH as a whole, is at a pretty significant inflection point. UNH's position as the "flagship" has shielded it from some of the impacts of declining support for higher ed in the state, but with the incoming fiscal year and potential state cuts they are going to feel the heat...

UNE schedule is out. Skidmore Invitational features UNE vs Tufts and Skidmore vs Alvernia. Lobster Pot is also scheduled.
Definitely make the trip at least once if you’re that close! PSU has some quality hockey for it’s size and the team should have a fun year with the new conference. And that’s insane about the Hanaway family! I’ll have to ask around if there are other stories about them. I know they are also the...
Ah alright, yeah that’s unfortunate it stayed on the decline over time. It feels like hockey is in a lull in NH at the moment. There’s definitely potential but it doesn’t help when UNH can’t perform. I made it over to Hanover for first round of the ECAC vs SLU and the arena was maybe a bit below...
