    ECAC 2025-26

Harvard plays UMD, followed by Quinnipiac playing BU, in the Friendship Four in Belfast, Northern Ireland tomorrow. This is the first time that four teams will be playing in the women's tournament there. Looks like a bit of a Beanpot preview with Harvard and BU featuring, though they may not...

    2025-26 PWHL season

Here is a good article - LJ Bachenheimer retro jersey designs for PWHL teams - observing that the 8 PWHL teams do not yet have 3rd jerseys and that these could be dreamed up as homages to past women's hockey teams. The author has made designs for the four Canadian teams and is going to create...

    2026 Frozen Four

Yale in fact was the most recent program to make it to the FF for the first time in 2022, and before that it was Northeastern in 2021. In the past three seasons, all the teams have been before. Yes, I think that it is worth the trip, for neutral fans too!

    17-2: "Smashville" indeed.

    2025-26 PWHL season

Puck drop is tonight! There are thirty games per team now through April 25. With the expansion to 8 teams, I think the arguments about the expansion process favoring the two new teams (Seattle and Vancouver) have been a little overblown. Because they wanted to snag some stars like Carpenter...

    ECAC 2025-26

The home teams are generally the favorites this weekend, across the board: Clarkson/St. Lawrence, hosting Harvard/Dartmouth Colgate/Cornell, hosting Brown/Yale Princeton/Quinnipiac, hosting RPI/Union While Colgate (pre-season #2 in the league) has one ECAC loss to Dartmouth so far, the three...

    ECAC 2025-26

Coming up this weekend, several non-conference games: - BU at Colgate - BU coming off being swept by Minnesota, though in closer games than Minnesota's games vs BC; Colgate coming off being swept by Ohio State - RPI at Northeastern (Saturday afternoon only) - RPI is currently 1-5; a good showing...

    ECAC 2025-26

Some intriguing match-ups in non-conference games for ECAC teams - all games are Fri-Sat series: - Quinnipiac at Providence - first non-exhibition game this season for Providence, while Quinnipiac played Maine last weekend - Sacred Heart at RPI - Sacred Heart's first non-exhibition game, while...

    ECAC 2025-26

It is very early, but ECAC teams aren't doing so well in non-conference games so far. The ECAC teams' record is 5-7-0. This seems par for the course, currently, for every conference except WCHA -- where the teams are 14-1-0 (the one loss being UConn narrowly beating St. Cloud State). In NEWHA...

    NCAA D1 final poll

Earl_Leatherland posted a thread recently for ECAC Women's Pick-the-Standings - apple2k Edition. Is this what you are asking? We've also had some activity about the coaches' poll on the ECAC thread.

    ECAC 2025-26

Good question about Dartmouth... They finished pretty low in the standings, but they had a much better stretch mid last season (at least, going "undefeated" with wins and ties for a while - then back to almost all losses). I think that it is too early to say in terms of Crowell's recruiting...

    Yale 2025-26

Seven incoming first-years are welcomed this week! Looks like the non-conference schedule has shaped up - visible thanks to the schedule document: Fri Oct 17 - Sat Oct 18 Robert Morris Tue Nov 4 at 6PM at St. Anselm Tue Nov 25 at 1PM at Princeton (repeat of last year's non-conference now at...

    ECAC 2025-26

The ECAC conference schedule is out (composite schedule, with some non-conference games). No coaches' poll yet for the "projected" standings, but the hockey is around the next corner (or two). Who is looking like they will be good? Last season was a bit of a surprise I think regarding Cornell...

    Yale 2025-26

The season is just over two-ish months away, and so it's time for a new thread! The compiler of the useful schedule document available on the 25/26 Schedules thread made the interesting find that Ivy League teams can play one more game this year than previous years. They are allowed 8...

    25/26 Schedules

Wow, this is really useful - thanks. Yeah, it feels like Mercyhurst tends to play a great non-conference schedule, as does Penn State! I think last season Penn State's non-conference schedule was aggressive much like this. And then these two teams end up in the AHA championship game repeatedly.

    2024-25 PWHL season

Thanks for the report about the new softball league, Lindsay. Looks exciting. I hadn't heard much about it before but also do not watch much TV, so was missing that mode of diffusion that you refer to. I found just one Athletic article on the new league; so, yes, they really don't seem to be...
