The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
You know what's funny about this discussion. We usually spend this time of year bitching and moaning about who did and did not make the NCAA field. That discussion is no longer relevant these days, so we're taking all that traditional pent up anger and spilling it out over this debate. LOL
So, here's something that's very interesting.
I had one D3 coach tell me that in two years, the skill level of D3 will be exponientially better. Basically, what you're saying.
However, I heard another D3 coach tell me that he believes many of these D1 players who will be "forced" down to D3...
Which means there is not enough money. Just because you don't go into debt, doesn't mean you have the money to do something. It was exactly this reason from what I heard that Utica did not want to make this move. They may have technically had enough money, but they realized it wasn't worth...
You really have a comprehension problem. If other coaches are upset with Utica, it is their opinions I'm getting. Not the Utica coaches. So, why would the Utica coaches tell me what other coaches are or should be feeling?
Years ago, I said Utica was never going D1. One of the few who said...
Wow. The number of inaccuracies in this post is astounding.
I talk to coaches directly. I know exactly how they feel about Utica's bullshit D1 carrot.
Your arena and attendance is great. I never said otherwise. You don't pay attention very well.
It would be fun for sure. Kind of like when St. Norbert finally won. And then wouldn't stop winning...
I know it has nothing to do with the NCAA. It's not their decision. It has everything to do with Utica. I don't care how much money was raised. It wasn't enough for the entire school to...
It's you fans that have turned everyone against Utica. Especially the way you talk for a team that has never won a national championship. Not to mention the BS talk they are going to D1, which they are never going to do. It just makes them so annoying. (And there are plenty of folks on the...
Dipshit, you know exactly what I meant. Dipshit, you can't handle being smacked down like a dumbass, so you come up with some assinine inconsequential debating point which has nothing to do with anything we are talking about. Dipshit. Oh, but keep bragging about those attendance numbers...
So, your lack of national championships has you pumping your chest over attendance, because that's all you can grasp at?
Hobart - 2, Utica - 0.
Wake us up when you actually win something.
Actually, a cookie. The Oswego chocolate chunk cookies are just about the only thing that can keep me from a good pretzel.
I also went by your section, but you were probably in the alumni reception room.
What I don't get is why did they get rid of that concession table in the other corner a few years ago? They used to serve the lighter, non cooked fare there, but it helped immensely alleviate some of the long lines, especially if you just wanted a cookie, candy, pretzel, or soda.
Even though the NCAA was willing to blow their travel budget with this bracket, I don't see them resisting the allure of selling 4,000 tickets, potentially for two nights.
Besides, on the women's side, River Falls was selected last year as a campus site, and then the NCAA turned around and...
