2026 Winter Olympics

Czechia’s goaltending oy. 2 soft ones vs USA. New tendy today vs Switzerland and they give up a late 2 goal lead and lose in a shootout.

Switzerland looks better than I remember. USA and Canada face Team Norovirus A (Finland) and B (Switzerland) tomorrow.

Meh. Let's ruin women's Olympic hockey over the flu. Great idea.
What would ruin it is if teams are wiped out by flu (or Norovirus) during the medal rounds. That's what they're trying to prevent.

------------------

An article posted on Yahoo Sports at 5 PM CST says that 1) it is norovirus, 2) 14 Finnish players were under quarantine before the game against Canada, 3.the Swiss team is in quarantine tonight after a player tested positive for norovirus. They went into quarantine after the game today vs Czechia, and the plyer who tested positive did not play the Czechia game.

Norovirus is HIGHLY contagious, has an incubation period of 12 to 48 hours, though can be as long as 73 hours. People get better after 24 to 72 hours. But you can still be contagious even after you feel better. Close quarters, like the Olympic Village, is an ideal environment to spread the virus.

I hope somewhere there's the TOI so we can look at to see who played how many minutes.

Last night I set up the DVR to record the women's hockey game on USA and it's actually recording all the Olympics on the USA channel. I guess I'll have to do a lot of deleting. I also don't know how much I'm actually going to get to watch this weekend because Badger girls play two afternoon games and we're going to the men's game on Friday as well and I've got the 1-hour drive one way to and from the rink.
I have You Tube TV and the DVR is unlimited. No need to delete anything.
