2026 Winter Olympics: Thread Title Under Construction

Is it really not good? It looks pretty cool from the outside... at night. The walking ramps look like Roman columns.

If they can hang those rings, they could have added a handful of lights to help see things.
Pretty much all the Italian stadiums are in terrible shape. They haven’t had any major work done on them since Italy last hosted the World Cup.

In 1990.

Oh, and I just realized why the announcer for this game is bothering me. Not just the various errors and whatnot, which whatever, she's doing it solo. It's that she's clearly under instructions to announce it as though no one has ever watched a hockey game before. Explaining fairly basic things like what a power play is, what pulling the goalie means, etc. Which I could get from some more obscure sports, but hockey? Really?

I have no idea if it's an NBC announcer or the generic Olympic broadcaster (though she's clearly American), but either way, come on.

It’s Leah Hextall. She normally works for ESPN during the NHL season. Looks like she’s working for OBS.

From

: Reports have surfaced before the Winter Olympics that allege ski jumpers are injecting their penises with hyaluronic acid to fly farther. The World Anti-Doping Agency has vowed to investigate.
I looked it up because:

Basically, it temporarily puffs up your peter right before you get measured for your bodysuit. Months later, after the substance has dissipated (you hope!), you can then get a slight parachuting effect from the extra material. 2cm of extra material could be enough to gain as much as 5-6m on a jump. 😲

No pics but they are all insanely cute.

I probably should have grown up in Minnesota. I have a type and every third woman there is it as opposed to say, I dunno, 2% of Long Islanders.

Plus I might have been a little less of an asshole though I doubt it. Some things are bred in the bone.

Yea, ski jumping has gone through some stuff the last 10 years. This is after athletes were going anorexic shortly before competitions because the size of the skis was set, so with a lighter rider, the skis would provide more lift. With the speeds they achieve and that it's basically controlled gliding/falling, these little differences can make all the difference.
