To give some credit to another program on campus, after the first two years of hiring Kyle Zenoni saw only two wins each season, Lowell Men's Soccer seems to be picking up some momentum. Last year, they finished 6-5-5 but missed the AE playoffs. This year, they finished 7-6-3 and made the AE playoffs. Last night as the 6 seed, they went to #3 Albany and pulled off an upset winning in PKs after a 3-3 draw. Lowell's goalie scored the tying goal (Goalie GOAL!) with less than a minute left to tie the game at 3. They play at #2 Bryant next on Wednesday. They lost at Bryant earlier this season 3-0.
America East has somehow become a powerhouse on the NCAA Men's side, with last year's National Champions Vermont currently ranked 4th and Bryant ranked 5th in the nation. Full credit to Lowell for going up to UVM earlier this season and getting a point with a scoreless draw. Good luck to the team this week!
