UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Very well. 😃

It is good then that 6 of the first 8 games are at home. Hopefully that gives them more confidence to start off with.

I’m surprised they wouldn’t have an exhibition to help all the new guys get a taste before the real games start.

I see UNH doesn’t have one either. A few years back Maine played UNH in exhibition at Colby College to start the season. Too bad the two teams couldn’t try that again.
Sparkee for AD. Maine vs UNH at Bowdoin

Nice of the alma mater to schedule an exhibition walking distance from my house. It's the first trip to Brunswick for the men's team since January 23, 1984. Maine played Bowdoin until 1989, but the later games were either in Orono or Portland.

I'll probably make a similar post as we get closer to the game, but in case anyone is planning a trip:
There is a Pat's Pizza in Brunswick, on Pleasant Street about two miles from the arena. https://www.patspizzabrunswick.com/
If you're looking for seafood, Cameron's is about a mile from the arena. If you want a scenic, out of the way option, I recommend the Dolphin Marina. Definitely off the beaten path, but the food and the view are spectacular. My family has been going there since the Saxtons opened it in 1966. Fresh? You may end up eating a lobster Billy or Lexi caught that morning. https://www.thedolphin.me/

Reminder for season ticket holders: You can order eight tickets to any game(s) starting on Tuesday morning (phone sales only)

I'll double the Dolphin Marina review. Excellent seafood. The Marina is nice also, worked there many times. One note, bring your wallet :)

There is only one Pat's Pizza. It's on Mill Street in Orono. All the others are posers who bought the name and can't bring the same game. Their pizzas may be edible, but they aren't up to the standard of the original.

You need to get out more......HOMER !!

Has anyone had any luck getting through? Been trying for almost three hours.
People on Facebook reporting same thing. One saying she called 100 times and finally got through. Seems like the ticket office is understaffed, which happens every year.

I've been dialing nonstop since the beginning. I have managed to get into the music queue about 7 times but after 14-15 minutes the line is cut off. Rinse and repeat!

I've had that happen a few times. I would rather just get a busy signal...no false hope!

Guess I'll try calling tomorrow.
