UMass Lowell 2025-2026: Youth will be served

That "switch went off" is a perfect way to say it. Everything they did wrong when they were down 3-0 ... they went back to that mode. Everything that they did to get the fie straight goals, they just stopped playing that way.

UMass Lowell 2025-2026: Youth will be served

Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. Three different games ... all played out in 62+ minutes.

UMass Lowell 2025-2026: Youth will be served

Last home win was November 1st. 2 goals in their last 5 home games. Read that last line again ... 2 goals TOTAL in their last 5 home games. 3 straight home games where Lowell has given up just 2 goals (before empty netters) and all losses. And now, dead last in Hockey East. They're playing...

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

You are correct. On the Q topic, Lowell is the only HE school not to have a commit from up there. NU has 10.

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

Interesting ... this will make 11 blueliners, I wonder if someone is out for the season.

Looked up Franssen on NZ, rated as a 3.75*. Interestingly, this is already his highest goal total he's ever put up (as per Elite Prospects). A game review from December 31st, 2025: And this from February 2025:

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

Add in that they have only scored 1 goal in 6 games as well, so in 11 of 23 games (almost 50%) they've scored one of fewer.

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

With another week almost done and some more Hockey East commits, Maine is now up to 37 commits, Vermont 20, UConn 22.

Another disappointing result at home. 2-6 this year at home, 11-26-5 the last three seasons. Just not acceptable. With the new year, one thing changed. We went from winning Friday and losing Saturday, to now the opposite, with three straight weekends losing on Saturday after winning Friday.

Yep, the boos were after the PPs. The team was 3-8 combined on the power play Friday and Saturday, which I'll take almost every single weekend.

UMass Lowell 2025-2026: Youth will be served

Credit to the kid, he played a hell of a game. A couple of the saves, people around me were already jumping up to celebrate and somehow he kept those out. These are the types of losses that, while frustrating, I can take. Playing the #10 team in the country, out played them for lots of the...

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

And we have 5 commits that will be 21 next season, so they will almost definitely be coming in.

That was a fantastic win. When UConn tied it at 1, I thought here we go again. The offense blew up as a response and that was great to see! Now get the sweep, let's build on this.

Kresl (playing in the NAHL) is the only forward averaging a point per game. Jones is struggling (4.40 GAA). Yikes all around.

UMass Lowell 2025-2026: Youth will be served

When Lowell plays BU next weekend, BU will have a 17 year old on their roster as Tynan Lawrence (Muskegon, USHL) has joined the Terriers. He will be 7 years younger than some of our seniors.
