UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

Unsurprisingly, after the first couple of days in August, Lowell didn't pick up a commit. neither did UConn, UVM or Merrimack, and surprisingly enough, BC didn't either.. BU, Maine, UMass and UNH all picked up a commit, while Northeastern and PC picked up 3. Almost all the commits are 2009 DOB.

    BU Recruiting Update--Part 5

You all probably know this, but just sharing something from NEHJ. They do seem to imply Meyer will head to BU, but say BC has made a run on Sears.

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

Doesn't affect us, but NEHJ had a good article this morning about how the new recruiting landscape might affect those August 1st commitments. The expectation is the "big" programs will continue to get the commits, but it won't be as prevalent as has been in the past (but they did note, the...

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

Nice article about incoming Lowell player, Luke Shipley and his experience at the Nashville Predators camp.

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

Edited to correct a mistake on my part. There were multiple comments made the past month or so though that they were hoping to add another Center. He's one of only two they have that's coming from Major Junior that isn't 21 (just actually just turned 20 and Diego Buttazzoni is 19), so I'm...

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

Lowell Sun has an article on the 14 incoming players for this year's class. Barry notes that they're still looking/hoping to add another Center.

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

Barry Scanlon has done a pretty good job covering the program for the Lowell Sun, so I won't blame him, but it's weird to see yesterday's Sun have an article about Lowell picking up a commit. I had to laugh, since Aidan Dyer committed back in December.

UMass Lowell 2024-2025 Season: Expectations are.....Expectations

Girts Silkalns winds up at Northern Michigan. I wish him the best.

Thank you. I wasn't sure how the credits would transfer and how much eligibility he'd have. Appreciate your clarifying this for me.

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

I'm assuming that Goich and Elliott will be competing for the starter spot. If Richard is going to compete, I wonder if that means Solomon might have to look elsewhere for 2026.

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

I'll note once again that these rankings include players that aren't coming to Lowell, but NZ currently has us moved up to 9th in the country. NZ still shows Classon (3.5), Dolzhenko (3.5) and Guest (3.75) as commits and I know the latter two aren't committed to Lowell anymore. It also shows a...

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

3.75* recruit from Illinois, 5'10, 187. Not a big kid, but he is a late 2005 (Dec). From NZ in Dec 2024:

UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

We will have one of the oldest teams in the NCAAs, so if experience helps, this should be a good plus.

I truly like having kids like this one representing the program. And he gets to play against his old teammate after all.
