The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Not even close.
If you get there at 5:45 and see both teams warning up on the concourse, the difference is stark. BC, BU, UMass and Providence come immediately to mind. Even our own players have commented on it.
It's more real than you think.
Not sure how many games you've attended this year in person, but this year's edition of the Cats looks significantly smaller than other teams....because, they are.
Not even a question.
As if those numbers have been validated. Cy lists himself at 5'10 when he is closer to 5'6. I used to bust Cafarelli himself about listing himself one year at 6'1" when he is 5'9" on a big hair day. Take the "official" heights and weights with a major grain of salt.
My eyes don't deceive me...
Conditioning has been a systemic issue through the tenure of MS7.

I'm less concerned about the first 4-5 minutes and more worried about the mid second period fade when their legs get tired and they then panic when the puck is in their own zone. It is at the PRECISE moment, their game goes to hell.
Publicly, it was stated it was budget. The reality was it was Title IX pressure and baseball was the only men's team that could be to make parity numbers work without eliminating football or hockey.
Years ago, I was was friendly with a few former BU players. Any time the beer began flowing, the Jack stories would inevitably start. I don't think I've ever laughed as hard in my life.
If I could upload a pic I took last night of Dick, you'd see that he hadn't been this upset by a call since his mock turtle neck era. He was livid. Ref, sitting next to me, witnessed it first hand.
