The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Smart move on your daughter.
Yes, the glossy production producer did a nice video. Penn State is all over the board on their brand marketing. Unrehearsed videos, videos with someone writing skits and then the high level video that just dropped with sound effects and Aerosmith. I still think...
I don't see any Showcases or Tournaments. St Lawrence, Northeastern, Cornell, OSU and Vermont fill out the schedule. St Lawrence graduated Hustler which has to be a positive for PSU. Kampersal is sticking to his mantra of playing a tough out of conference schedule.
My prediction is that Lum will really help with increasing the number of team blocks. St.Lawrence is very pesky on blocking shots and she has been a large part of that peskiness.
The picture with her in the graduation picture must have spooked someone, necessitating a news release? Anyway, Kampersal keeps his streak going on players coming back for a fifth year. Vaslet is a big deal for Penn State and could have picked wherever she wanted to do a grad year at in my opinion.
Stecker had to play all year with MacDonald, and that pairing held up. Stecker took a big step forward this past year and the odds are MacDonald has a second year jump. Butze had a nice year last year, but Garcia has graduated, so she will have to get used to playing in a pairing with someone...
Penn State has been posting some humorous short skits starring various players. Roberts seems to love being in them. Janecke even made her appearance in one.
Here is the rub, the college coaches are at girls' events not watching the boys. If you are not getting a sniff, perhaps a gap year somewhere for her to be seen either at a prep school or hockey academy or goto a couple of tryouts in Ontario for pwhl teams. Ontario might be the best option...
Tough news for Hengelmuller and the program as the Austrian Defender was really good at keeping the puck in the offensive zone. The good news is that Tullock and MacDonald got lots of playing time this year. PSU has to have some money for transfers now. You would think someone would want to...
On paper it is looking good. I tried to find some tape on Fantin and no luck. Once again any transfers in will be apparently announced later than most teams. Retrum was on the watch list for Frosh of the year last year to transferring out after Soph year. The staff needs to take a closer look...
Retrum is a loss for sure and I'm sure she feels like something was askew with her lot this year or else she wouldn't have transferred. Mercyhurst has been busy in the portal and I think is up to five players. It's a relief Retrum did not sign with Mercyhurst like the BC player that transfered...
She must have been injured for one of those years as she would not have another year of eligibility. Sisti must have a plan to utilize her in his various systems or maybe he looked at PSU's Dartmouth transfer that PSU found a steady role for this year and thought there might be some value in a...
Retrum had a nice frosh year, I'm not sure what happened this year. Hopefully, she finds a spot somewhere where she can get back to the type of production she enjoyed as a frosh. It is tough to nitpick with 30 wins though. I'm sure other programs are hoping for a Maddy Christian type jump out of...
