I can totally see Janecke staying for the Olympic Closing Ceremony after winning the gold. All the athletes seemed to be enjoying the experience. Thon on Saturday looked as big as ever.
So the pro is this coaching staff was able to recruit Ava Thomas to BC. The con would be that Holy Cross is ranked higher than BC.
I get it, but changing coaches has worked out for Ohio State and St Thomas, but it has not worked out for BU, Syracuse, Providence, RPI and Harvard.
I think that...
Thanks for the clarification on centralization, but I can remember others writing about finding a year and it seemed to be a bit more whimsical, but maybe it was just sarcasm, lol.
I guess I was kind of having recency bias with the Mississippi football player getting another year and it's not...
Great on the attendance. PSU will end up with three 20 goal scorers Janecke, Outwater and Christian. Christian will end up with two 20 goal seasons as a Junior and Senior. Her junior year was obviously not a fluke and has repeated it again.
Janecke should petition the NCAA for a fifth...

Former Penn State nemesis gets a nice write-up.
Good analysis above, but no discussion of the rankers taking into consideration the Olympics. I'll throw that into the mix.
PSU wins 4-2 and Stecker, who I think has never played center, comes in and wins almost 60 percent of her faceoffs and leads the team in faceoff percentage. That's a...
Bad loss, however, Celeste is a hyper driven coach and obviously had RIT ready to play. The crazy thing is it was not Alvarez or Pickering leading the way and RIT received down the line production.
Vaslet missing the game did not help.
Stecker needs to move to offense with all the players...
Vaslet appears to be out. Christian has been moved to center. it looks like it has worked so far for PSU as Christian has put up PSU 1-0.
Found this on asst coach Wakefield...
Alvarez and Pickering are 1 and 2 in scoring for RIT. Mercyhurst has quietly had a good year. It is to bad that two of their players bolted or it is likely that there would be two AHA teams in the top ten.
Shane gets her first collegiate goal. Butze sets the record for most pts by a Penn State D, eclipsing Lobdell. Lobdell has found her footing in the PWHL and is now getting 15 minutes a game. I think Butze can follow in her footsteps. Roberts, Outwater and Christian continue to put up pts. PSU is...
I don't really have an opinion on whether BC can afford to pay double, I will throw in there that BC is not football rich.
As far as coaches - the best move might be to try and get the Northeastern coach to jump ship.
Northeastern always seems to be a bit better than the school reputation and...
I would have been shocked to see Lindenwood in third also. I had taken a gander recently on Mercyhurst's total win total and they should finish the regular season at about 22 wins. RIT had a better first half of the season and has tailed off recently.
Penn State dropped to #5 in the USA Today...
