Wisconsin Badgers '26-'27 season: Finishing what we started

It's a moot point now but the a shot hit him square in the mask and then a juicy rebound...then after a noticeable delay, the G flipped his mask off.

It might be courtesy to the G after getting rung to allow that and give a generous whistle. But, considering the situation I thought it was pretty suspect. Meh, anyway...
You could see one of the straps come undone as soon as puck hit his mask.

Rich and Micheletti for 60 minutes is a lethal combo for us Badger faithfuls, so nauseating listening to them talk about everything but the Badgers. Complaining about Brink running into Strahl as if he didn't get bulldozed into the crease by Loftus. Goal called back too, go F 'em bucky

Christ, I thought Woog was the king of analysis consisting only of yelling "ohhhhhh" forty times a game when he thought it should have been a penalty on the other team. Then I listened to this crew to the Gopher/NoDak games a few weeks ago.

Alright, up by 4. If anything, Badgers have got to stay home and play disciplined defense. They are more connected than MN, but I felt there were chunks of the 2nd that they let get away from them with Neutral Zone TOs, penalties, and some sloppy play.

Find the Zen and go own the 3rd.

What a game that was.. Forecheck was purely relentless, Badgers everywhere no matter what. Fighting for the puck like their life depends on it, effort level is just unreal up and down the lineup.

Offense was so quick, basically everything in the offensive zone looked calculated. Totally dominated the neutral zone. I think the chemistry is certainly starting to show as well; we have a team of smart hockey players, and that's real clear. Could sit here and type flowers for the defense all night, but they were nails as always; of course, a couple mishaps along the way but nonetheless great. Hauser's SV % improves to 0.973. Best team in the country and they played like it tonight. Fun to watch

There were a couple neutral zone TOs that led to rushes I wasn't happy with, but their ability to get back and cover assignments is dang impressive.

I always dread the 2 on 1 where the lone D refuses to commit to the puck and it just hangs the G out to dry. It seems like lone D is committing to the puck handler trusting the next guy will get back, which allows the G to focus!

Finally!
