Boston University Terriers 2026-2027 season…insert clever title here!

Let’s keep it going.

Odd to look at it this way, but tomorrow will be the biggest game of the year.
How do you respond on the road in a tough rink against a pissed off team after throwing down 6 in a 4 goal victory?💁🏿

And this falls on everyone in the room. Sweaters & suits.

Ok I went to a play on my campus tonight so going in it was 1-0 and I was thinking "ok maybe they won't blow it"

I come out and holy crap 6-2? Nice showing, guys.

Not odd at all, in my opinion. It also would have been the biggest game of the year (so far) if they had lost.

For such a young team, I felt they showed a lot of poise in the third when MSU was threatening. Not me, of course. And what I have been whining about for years? Them never winning the face off to start a power play? They did that on that power play in the third that directly lead to Tretheway’s goal.

My wish for this trip was for a split. Is it too much to hope for more? I really don’t know what to expect tonight. I mean…today. Oh boy…they don’t play well in games that start before 7:00.

Now that the Friday curse is done, maybe the afternoon curse will follow. Fingers crossed.

The team only took one penalty the whole game. Yes, they gave up a PP goal, but it's amazing how much easier it is to win a game when you don't have to kill a bunch of penalties.
Every season we seem to have at least one player that tends to take a boneheaded penalty at the most inopportune time. Thankfully we seem to be missing that player so far this season.

Great opportunity tonight to solidify ourselves in the rankings in the top 5. Although the minimum has been accomplished this weekend - really hoping to get at least into OT as a minimum now for this game. Hopefully a good start that can yield some early goals, or at least a stalemate through 1. Big Mike really had a great game last night and made key saves to keep us scoreless until the lead, and kept us ahead thereafter.

This team continues to steadily grow and frankly is a pleasure to watch so far.

Just 1 thing from last night that I think can be cleaned up. Shots from up top need to get to the net or at least through the first defender- Michigan State had some great potential opportunities going the other way on blocks.

Should be a good one - Go BU!

Agree. Maine must have signed him in the portal…they took a lot of dumb penalties last week.

Nope. Took all of 30 seconds.
They did survive the period and didn’t give up more - that’s good and gives us a chance. Only a few grade A’s and didn’t capitalize on them. Need a lot more than that to win this game. Michigan State is ultra combative- you do anything physical with them and they are in your face with fists. Officials trying to calm this down with matching and misconducts.

Sure looked like a cross check there…. Poor defense allowing that dude to screen big Mike too, standing around and watching sparty there 🙄
