2026 Elections: To the Midterms and Beyond!

Across Germany, France, Canada, Britain, the Emirates, Poland, Ukraine, there is universal joy and relief.

America is on it way to being respect in the world again. We can finish the job in 2028.

His campaign did the math and he realized he did not need her. More importantly, he did not need the stench of her weird MAGA fiance or the registered foreign agents of Israel who worked on her campaign wafting over his own operation in the final days, potentially giving them access to insider info to use against him.
I just remember a few days ago that thought that Senator Al-Sayed's campaign were wrong, and both sides were wrong. That post turns out to be the wrong one.

Oh fuck off. I can't speak to how she was 30 years ago, but for the last decade Collins was a partisan hack who only pretended to be a centrist to fool morons like you. She was never the deciding vote against something the GOP wanted, even when she could've been.

So if Turek et al need to be similarly disingenuous, sorry "concerned," to win, they should go for it without the left wailing about it.
I’ll take “things that unofan wouldn’t have the guts to say to my face in person” for $200 Alex.

Of course that's what happened

If they wanted 'centrism', then Drew's boo would have won.
You are fooling yourself if you think that we won senate seats in Texas, North Carolina, Kansas, etc., ( plus all of those redrawn congressional seats) without winning back the vast majority of the center.

Sure, sure....

Nice, common-sense centrist positions like:
  • People should go to jail for doing illegal things
  • Illegal tariffs are illegal
  • Illegal wars are illegal
  • It is illegal for the Executive branch to divert/not spend funds contrary to Congressional appropriations
  • It is illegal for Federal agencies to murder US citizens
  • We should defend democracies around the world from attack by authoritarian nations
  • We should NOT support states that commit human rights atrocities, whether against their own citizens or others
Just as loss or privilege feels like oppression, Republicans will wail that these policies are radical. They are not. Republicans do not get to define the center, so when they inevitably complain about the radical leftist agenda, the blue Congress should ignore them and run right over their objections with a Mack truck.

If one or two blue members need to wring their hands over these policies to ensure re-election, they are free to Collins it.
Who said anything about Republicans defining the center? Those issues you list (in the effect that some of them had on the economy and cost of living) are by and large, likely exactly the reasons that we won in places like Texas, Kansas etc.

Vance is as spineless and morally deficient as any politician in history. He's Aaron Burr. He doesn't stand for anything except what he thinks will get him elected in the moment. He would sell his mother to the devil if it got him more votes.
From Senator-Elect El-Sayed’s victory speech…

“JD… Habibi… there is this delicious irony in the fact that you’re constitutionally obligated to swear me in in January.” 😁

Vindman is a very good man, just not much of a candidate. But let's not slag him.
Oh, I totally respect Vindman. My point being that Chuckie recruited him to be the nice, centrist Dem candidate rather than the Democratic Socialist, and he ended up losing the primary to her, cause voters aren't looking for the nice safe go-along to get-along Dem, they want someone who's gonna go to Washington and start kicking some ass.

But I don't think we'll ever be trusted completely as a world partner ever again. There will always be suspicion and hesitation.

Her going partisan hack happened after her marriage in 12. She went off the charts with trump though just like the rest of the republican party.

We won back Hispanics, young whites, black men and women, and everyone else that Donnie ended up fucking over. Regardless of their political orientation.

Voters were looking for people who were gonna stand up and fight back against Donnie and his administration. Not reach across the aisle and work with them.
