There was a game, Wisconsin at Lindenwood, a half-dozen years ago that was cancelled when players started feeling Ill during warm-ups. IIRC, the daughter of Wisconsin head coach Mark Johnson, Mikayla, ended up going to the hospital. The UW medical people now carry carbon monoxide detectors with them when they travel to "away" games.

There was a rink somewhere in New England a few years ago that had to cancel activities for a bit for the same reason -- people started getting sick during a game. I believe the culprit were the Zambonis.

My husband and I drove down for that series. The problem was finally diagnosed by Denny Helwig (the renowned trainer) after the game. The game the next day was canceled because so many skaters were still quite debilitated. Mikayla did spend the night in the hospital. As I recall, the problem was that a bus was parked just outside the air intake vent closest to the Badger bench.
