Business, Economics, and Taxes 2: That's Why We Fight to Take the Means Back

Ok, so the beef claims... You've all heard the beef producers whining about the dump deal of importing beef, right? And how ranchers think their beef will be worth pennies on the dollar because if it.

IF (big IF) that actually comes true, it really points out the house of cards beef futures are. A 3% increase in beef supply should not crater the market. What will crater the market if ranchers panic and flood the market with beef with the stupid notion of a 3% increase cratering the market.

With beef prices at an all time high, their income per cow is the highest its ever been. And it looks like they are going to ruin it.

If anything points to the flaws in cutting education.....

Then again, elmo's stocks are wildly over valued for what the company is actually doing and can realistically do, so the sense of business has departed our so called capitalist economy.

The problem is there is a monopsony (opposite of a monopoly) because there are only four companies that buy beef directly from farmers. So they can charge as little as they want to farmers and then turn around and charge whatever they want to grocers (who then pass the cost onto us). Why don't the grocers just go straight to the farmers? More efficient markets!

In short: Capitalism!

As America defines it. America USED to believe in breaking up monopolies, they no longer believe in that.

Monopolies are generally bad for capitalism because they destroy the competition that keeps prices fair and quality high.

The child rapist war criminal threatens to attack Wall Street. Like, with the military.

The beef imports are a Potemkin solution for Dump to pretend he's doing something, given that they are a drop in the bucket relative to total US beef consumption. It will have little to no impact on the price of beef at our town supermarkets.

Most U.S. beef imports are so-called "lean beef trimmings" that augment the already massive domestic ground beef supply. My bet is that most of the additional imports will end up in frozen burger and entrees, where no one will ever think about or know the country of origin. So, Stouffer's can and will continue to raise prices on a tray of lasagna, but perhaps pay a little less for one of the inputs.

I totally agree, but the farmers are whining so very much about it, as if they are being so betrayed by the orange moron, and how the price of their beef is going to pennies on the dollar. They are so dumb.

If the market craters, a lot of that lies on their stupidity. And if they are so dumb to believe the BS in the industry they are supposed to be the best and most specialized at, imagine how easy is it to convince them of lies about other stuff that divides the country.... we are so screwed.

Farmers whining about anything right now is really rich. They voted for the asshole. He's doing exactly what he said he would do. I imagine at some point all the farms and farmland in the country will be run by about 3 Conglomerates at the most.

You reap what you sow.

My wife showed me a couple of the TikTok farmers whining about people who say they voted for it, demanding we leave our politics out of the food supply.

I lol'd. You'd think a farmer would understand more than anyone the expression "you reap what you sow". But once again, they didn't vote for Senile Shitler's policies to affect them - just the brown people and the cityslickin' libtards.

They said the what now? Fuck them. They brought their politics into the food supply. Enjoy bankruptcy. I have zero fucks to give them.
Yep, and then they go, "Well all these nasty replies just guarantee I'll never vote for any Democrat ever!11!!!" Almost like it's an act for attention.

Bitch, please - you were never going to vote Democrat in the first place. You're just mad that the leopard is devouring your face, too.

Funny how they blame people pointing out that THEY brought politics into the food supply.

Typical that they blame other people for the problems they cause. We should not forget that farms are the biggest human traffickers in the US, with how they use undocumented immigrants. They cause the undocumented problem, whine about it, and then complain they have nobody to work for them. Once again, bringing politics into the food supply.

Don't you have any sympathy for their "economic anxiety"?
LOL, if they were honestly trying to be reasonably modern, following their state funded university data to grow stuff the most efficient, and then used Bus101 to run a business in a smart way (including not voting for a person who told you he will take away markets, take away workers, and start a trade war),.... And then not whine about losing their socialism backbone....

They make their own economic anxiety. Not my fault.

It isn't socialism when it's a handout for them - they earned it. Socialism is when the Messicans and darkies get a handout.
