It's always been an 85/15 split, but that number is starting to slide... Now whether they will stay when it comes time to put up or shut up, who knows?

What a fucking whiner. Beef is at an all time high. Like by a huge margin. He is making money hand over fist, and is worried that the asshole is going to cut into his great days.

This is exactly why we should NEVER listen to farmers when they whine about risking them. Small family farms are even worth over a million dollars, beef prices are at an all time high. They are making a shit ton of money most of the time. Way, way, way above average in the US.

Yet they still make really stupid business decisions, like constantly getting new equipment when maintaining their old stuff is less expensive. And then they whine so much about right to repair when their companied are doing stuff they don't like. And the hypocrisy when they whine about regulations making companies more responsible for their product impacting the environment. So they want corporate freedom until it hurt them. Fuck them.

And many of them don't bother to improve the state of the art in farming- wasting so much fertilizer that it ends up in rivers and lakes, carving up their land so that they have to use more fertilizer because they stir it up and let it wash and blow away. We wont bring up their ignoring global warming and it's impact on anyone growing anything.

People need to really think about what they are whining about and really put reality back in their face. Farmers are far more wealthy than almost every other American, they support systems that hurt themselves and whine about it. We are not ever going to starve. We live in the most geographically ag friendly country in the world, especially when you look at the massive river that they use to keep shipping cheap.

The gall of someone to whine that they might lose some very high value sales.

(we should not forget that ag is the largest source of work for undocumented labor- so they are the #1 reason why there are so many undocumented workers in the US. IMHO, they are trying to pay less for the work they want- which just illustrates their insane greed).
 
The only thing I can give the average family farmer is that at least they aren't Jeff Bezos. If they'd like to eventually lose everything to him and his oligarch buddies though, they should keep voting R.

It's mean that we point out that she got what she voted for? What snowflakes.

It's time to remind them that voting by voting Democrat, we voluntarily voted to keep taxes high and support them, whereas she voted to cut taxes for people who didn't need it so that she gets less help. You got exactly what you wanted, and now it's our problem?

edit- once again, she is worth a LOT of money owning a dairy farm. She is sitting on enough money she could sell it and retire today. I can't feel sorry for business people who are worth a ton and then complain that the milk tit she used to suck on ran out because she intentionally cut the cow from food and water. The more I learn about farmers (as they whine so much) the more I think we should be New Zealand- where they stopped all farm subsidies, and the ones who knew how to run a farm survived. The way republicans have been wanting it forever.

Just looked up some beef info, the US sold ~12M tons of beef in 2025. The imports from Argentina is less than 1%- with the new additions, it's 0.1M tons.

And the price of beef is at an all time high.

Why are we giving any time to beef farmers to whine? They are all sitting on the most valuable herd ever, and these new imports are almost a rounding error.

If anything, all of this is really illustrating how rich farmers in the US are all being subsidized by the same socialism that they want to end. Lets end it for them- that's what they voted to happen.

Hey, if bringing in 1% of beef causes 20% of whiny farmers to stay home in November, that's money well spent! The whinier, the better.

But they won't because they have to stop the Antifa scourge that's infecting America. Hurting minorities and owning da libz will always trump pocketbook issues.

Sounds good, but I think that giving them zero grace for their whining is still fair. Make them feel like the idiots they are for voting against their own life.

Except one of the fundamental duties of government is to ensure the populace is fed. To the extent farm subsidies ensure that basic function, I have no problem with the subsidies themselves.

But farmers need to say thank you and shut the fuck up about other socialist policies rather than acting like they're some capitalist paragon that no one helps.
