NHL 2026: The Olympics Will Be Mammoth!

I wonder what this means for Larkin. Seems like he’s burned that bridge and the fan base doesn’t want him back, or if they can’t trade him, at least don’t want him with the C.

I’m sure they will get a decent return and I suspect Larkin leaving could be addition by subtraction. He obviously is a good player but I think he has been a huge part of the problem as far as Wings not making the playoffs.

What do you do with Cat, Faulk, and Edvinnson? It will be interesting how things play out with those three.
 
Does he count as a middle six forward? Because that’s what determines whether or not the Kraken will trade for him.
 
After a stellar second season, star San Jose Sharks forward Macklin Celebrini has signed a five-year contract extension worth a total of $94 million, general manager Mike Grier announced Wednesday.

The $18.8 million average annual value on the extension, which begins with the 2027-28 season and runs through 2031-32, will make Celebrini the highest-paid player in the NHL.

Thank you for saying what AAV stands for. The reporters on the news were just saying AAV, like everyone knew what that meant. I bet they didn't even know.

And I cannot believe no one, at least no outlet that I saw, made any fun comment tying his signing to Shark Week. What a missed media opportunity!!!
 
A bit lost in the story of the Mark Walter scandal and the selling of the Lakers, the Chelsea stake, and Cadillac F1 is that Walter is the owner of the PWHL. Potentially losing your major financial backing is probably not good for the health of the league.

If the Walter Group collapses, the PWHL completely disappears.
