This album is nearly always my first frame of reference whenever someone brings up the concept of "dark pop". I'm particularly a fan of the title track, "Love Like Blood". "Kings and Queens", "A New Day", and of course "Eighties" later made much more famous when Cobain lifted and slowed down the main riff to write "Come As You Are".

Saw Living Colour at Summerfest today. Holy shit did they kick ass! Wow! Incredible musicians, fantastic songs that stand the test of time and are amongst the very best bands of their generation (Soundgarden, Jane’s, Nirvana et al)

Oh man. I saw them on that same tour. Chicago Lollapalooza in 1990 or 91. First year they started that tour.

They may not jump around a bunch like they used to but musically they’re even better and Corey’s voice is as good as it ever was! I mean, he was belting the tunes out like he’s 22 and not in his 60’s!
