TV 20 - Sorry no fancy title

The first three episodes of Margo's got money troubles is delightful . elie fanning is perfect as usual, Michelle Pfeifer is rocking it, and Nick offerman was made to be an addict pro wrestler turned grandpa.

Tried to watch Beef season 2, woof. Good example of talented cast sucking, its like they wanted to replicate White lotus. Season 1 was fun.

The Pitt season 2 finale included a woman who wanted a "wild birth" which meant she never once saw a doctor. She refuses medical care so Dr Robby (Noah Wyle) asks the question I always ask these morons: So why are you here? It turns out she had a severe headache and she wants the doctors to treat that and only that. Seems simple, but the ER staff quickly understands that this is a sign of pre-eclampsia and she and her unborn infant are in danger. It turns into eclampsia, and her baby is delivered (barely) via emergency c-section but she has a seizure. When the show ends her outcome is still unknown. The storyline has touched a nerve in the MAHA/MAGA community because it points out the fallacy of "wild birth" (or free birth) which they argue happened for thousands of years before hospitals. Yes, and infant mortality was off the charts. Once again: Science = bad. Dunning-Kruger on full display.

If you aren't already watching the show, both of the first two seasons are now available on HBO Max, or you know... 🏴‍☠️

My wife was pretty crunchy with our first, but was still nowhere near these wild birth people. First sign of any trouble she was going in. She is a scientist after all.

Her career has really gone downhill fast. Went from starring in blockbuster movies to producing content for OnlyFans...guess that genes commercial was a bad idea ;)

Margo's Got Money Troubles is great until the brat.

Then, much like first time parents, it loses its brain and becomes lethally self-absorbed and boring.

Just dice it. There'll be other fuck trophies whenever you want. They aren't special. They're fungibles. Very expensive skin tags.

It blows cuz the Hooters skit on SNL was one of the best ever. And in fact her episode was very good. Guess the cast did not care for her, though. Surprise.

I'm sure I am in the minority in saying the Guess jeans scandal was the dumbest overreaction in history. I get that she has said stupid things before and that she has the brain of a not particularly bright door stop. But the ad reaction was about those prior sins. The ad itself was a great concept.

She really owned the reactionary poutrage, though. From what I have heard she was raised by moron rightwing parents and it's all coming from them, and she herself has zero signal bandwidth. cf. Gabbard, Tulsi.

Created by the guy who owns the company I work for. And his wife is one of the stars. Even though he's almost exclusively known for his TV and film work, I know him more as the guy who owns a trout company.

A trout guy married Michelle Pfeiffer?

Well if that isn't ironic...
To be fair he had been doing the Hollywood thing for a really long time and married to her way way before he did the trout thing. His story is he grew up fly fishing a lot and wanted to start the company as a way to create sustainable options to take pressure off the wild stocks.

I made it 1.5 episodes through Margo...

S2E1 of Your Friends and Neighbors however did not disappoint.
ok, I'll be the only one who enjoys Margo haha

Your friends and Neighbors.....eh. I'll keep watching, but the only storyline that is interesting is Marsdens. Coop's family stuff is dumb, but who am i kidding, I'll keep watching.

E3 of Something Very Bad was fine. The show is trying to do some interesting things. I can't decide whether making every character unspeakably unlikable is a strategy or just my reaction to contemporary culture. There is an uncanny valley quality to it as if it could have been written by AI. The emotion of the show is the concept of a plan of emotion of someone who lacks it.
