Boston College Women's Hockey '25-'26: It's The Hope That Kills You

Quite admire a player who stuck around at BC for 4 years for love of the school despite little to no playing time. She's got her diploma and has a shot to play somewhere for a season. I hope she does.

Not gonna lie I saw this comment and about had a heart attack lol

Frost is great but we have a long-timer, had-more-success-in-the-past-until-conference-rival-leapfrogged-them head coach at home
Are you guys talking about different people named Frost?

Because otherwise.... huh?
And now I'm just figuring out the confusion LOL... First half of my post was referring to Shea Frost in the portal, second half I was referring to the former head coach of the Gophers but I just didn't actually quote Timothy A or Reggie hahaha

I see BC #3 Alanna Devlin is in the portal today. Another former USA Hockey caliber player that has decided to leave the program. I don't know the reasons Devlin is leaving but after watching the total destruction at BCWIH over the last 10 years with good player after good player leaving the program, I have a pretty strong idea why she left.

Any guesses @TonyTheTiger20 ? Are we still rebuilding ?

How long until Courtney Kennedy takes Merrimack past BC ?

Rumor has it you are not getting Mark Johnson as your H/C, but the next best thing, one of his players - a D, Grace Bickett. She was the extra D on the non-Olympic roster and got a bit of PT when KK was gone. MJ has a great eye for solid D, I hope she plays well for y'all.

Nothing personal here but Bickett has played in a total of 28 games over the last 2 years at Wisco and has a whopping 3 points. The BC coaching staff continues to do a great job of finding players in the portal that aren't good enough to play in the WCHA but can come to BC and find a way to crack an already weak lineup. I call this laziness. Without any doubt the laziest coaching staff in Division 1

I heard that Alanna Devlin will be playing for Penn State next year. PSU was in the frozen 4 this year FYI. So she want good enough to play at BC but shes good enough to play at PSU ? Do you think maybe these other coaches know what they are doing ? Because we clearly don't. Just look at our track record

Add her to the long list of good BC players that cant wait to get out and go play somewhere else. My bet is she does really well and once again makes the BC coaches look like idiots.

In those 28 games she played sparingly. She's not going to score for you, but she will play fundamentally sound D. It will be interesting to see what pair she end up on.

The BC coaching staff is th most inept in all of college hockey.
They do virtually no recruiting outside of their area code and lose every player that’s any good after a year.
They can not identify players that have the ability to make the program better.

Jeff Kampersal knows what he's doing. He must see something in Alanna Devlin's game that her stats don't show.

They do virtually no recruiting outside of their area code . . .
Of the publicly-reported commits to BC for the next two years, there's 1 kid from Massachusetts. 3 Canadians, 2 girls from Shattuck (1 from CA and 1 from Alaska), 1 MN HS girl, a goalie from MI, and a BK girl who's from MD. Maybe they're all terrible, IDK, but at an 8:1 ratio it seems like kind of a stretch to argue that they don't do at least a fair amount of recruiting outside their area code.
