Maybe, but for now, if he is the nominee, he is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.

To get the votes you need to get the seats. We never, ever, ever win by losing.

This is something we’ll always agree on.

Yep, and if he makes it all the way through I bet Platner will be the next fraud. He admits he only joined the military because he "wanted to play soldier". His dad was a lawyer, his mom owned a restaurant, and he went to private schools, so he knows people who have given him his opportunities and who will be expecting favors in return.
There's no one better. I like David Costello but even though he ran in 2024 his name recognition is only slightly better than mine. And Janet Mills would be the oldest person ever elected to the Congress for a first term. And since she would only serve one term (if that) we would have to fight for a purple seat with no incumbency advantage in 2032.

Of course, this is all predicated on there being meaningful elections come November.

Maine is a shit show no matter what. Just elect the Dem, whoever it is, and pray they're not Fetterman.
I'd say it was a done deal but
1) I don't believe we'll have real elections in November
2) Northern and Eastern Maine are batshit crazy.
You'd think the loss of the Canadian tourist dollars at the border would wake people up, but they're stubborn.

Before somebody thinks of blaming us!”
