MLB 2026: The dying of the light

If cricket can do a review to determine if a ball would've hit the wickets after accounting for spin and a bounce off the ground, surely MLB can do a 3d review of a pitch.
They could but apparently we need some human drama element for the mouth breathers.

Jo Adell of the Angels robbed 3 home runs in a 1-0 win over Seattle. The last one is insane.

Clearly, there were a few more angels in the outfield on this holy weekend 🤣

Copied from my post to Amazin Ave because you all deserve my rant.

The Mets were scheduled to play 27 doubleheaders in 1962. One third of all their games. They wound up playing 30.

I loved DH as a kid but my god the thought of sitting through one now...

My terrible admission is I got used to 7-inning games during COVID and prefer them. I see no need whatever for the 8th and 9th inning. This is a horrible admission for an otherwise knuckledragging purist, but the solution for better baseball is less baseball.

7 inning games, 100 game RS. No divisions, no playoffs. One 7-game World Series between the pennant winners. Season starts in mid May and ends in early September.

Didja get me my Cheese Whiz, boy?!
