And from what I saw River Falls is can be beat.

River Falls is no doubt the favorite...but they've got a tough draw to try and get the third in a row.
Amherst is going to be a tough matchup to get by and if they win that, Norwich I expect to get by Nazareth and they have been playing lights out hockey for two months.

I believe someone already mentioned that.
They were completely unprofessional. I couldn't believe it when a penalty was called against RF and one of the guys immediately blurted out, "Oh, that was a bad call." Later on he criticized another penalty against RF without hesitation, too. It was laughable but not a professional sounding broadcast team at all. It really could have been any 2 RF fans they grabbed from the crowd and put in charge of doing the play-by-play of the game.
"Hey, have you guys ever done this before?. No? No problem. Come on over here and we'll get you all set up to try it. Just be yourselves and it'll be fine."

Agreed. River Falls runs a tremendously respectful program. But holy cow is their broadcast team pathetic. Also, those fans are RUTHLESS (in a good way, makes the sport fun).

The atmosphere there is a lot of fun! I don't know the backstory on the broadcaster's, I believe they typically have students from the Communications program during the regular season not these older homers LOL. You would expect that from students, not from more experienced callers.
While anyone including UWRF is beatable at this point in the tournament, I still like their chances. Very good team with some great senior leadership. Hoping they can grab one last one. I don't see how they replace all the holes next year.....so this might be it for a while.

Emily and the Middlebury community can all use the entire D-III women’s hockey community’s prayers right now.
Hamline was very good. I was really impressed with their speed/skating. Norwich scoring early changed the game. Without that goal, I don't know that we're sitting here preparing to root on a final four team. Brunet was lights out. I DO attend/watch most of the women's games and I was nervous as she wasn't really tested much during the regular season. She definitely came to play and came up huge. I also think her confidence kept growing throughout the game and by the third it was going to take an act of God to get one by her!

Update on Coach McNamara: last night I heard that things were still serious but there were "encouraging" signs.
This afternoon her former club the Washington Pride posted this message of support, which noted her condition as "stable".
I continue to send prayers and well wishes for her and her family and friends.
Edit: sources shared that Coach had multiple positive signs of improvement today. Full recovery will be a very long road however.

There has now been official communication from Coach Emily McNamara's family today, via a new CaringBridge page, on which one can follow her progress.
Ellen Sargent (Middlebury '07, a teammate of Coach McNamara) issued the following statement on the McNamara family's behalf on that page:

Practice day for each of the final four teams in River Falls!
Norwich arrived in Minnesota yesterday mid-day after flying out of Boston and they held a practice at University of St. Thomas' new rink.
Obviously you have to play the games, but I think Norwich is a pretty solid favorite vs. Nazareth in the first semifinal. Although this specific team doesn't have FF experience, the program does and they've also played a harder schedule and gotten some big results against some top teams.
The second semifinal could/should be an absolute doozy. You've got the nation's best offense going up against the nation's best goalie four years running.
Should be a barnburner. I think River Falls gets the advantage, especially due to what will be a very partisan home crowd cheering them on to set up RF vs. Norwich in the finals on Sunday.
Additional thing to keep an eye on, River Falls' Megan Goodreau (75 points), is two points away from tying Elmira's Laura Hurd for the single-season points record. (77).

I've seen Nazareth play a few times this season. It is the best Nazareth team they've had. But, it also benefited from a weak schedule. Based on the times they have struggled and why, I would pick Norwich as well.
