BU Hockey '25-'26: Can we keep up the run to Vegas?

BU never led in this one. Key moment to me was the final minute of period 2, BU called a timeout and got out of danger and ended up with a late 2-on-1. Had they scored there and taken a lead and all sorts of momentum into the third, it very well might have been a different story.

Hutson, for sure. No doubt a platoon of others, including EIserman, but most would be well advised to get more seasoning. That's what they were lacking to even meet expectations at the college level.

This whole season reminded me of when Albie was the coach. Yikes. Can we transfer the entire team out and get new players? Will miss Eiserman and.... that's about it.

ESPN/ABC just said during Bruins/Caps that John Carlson was traded because Hutson is ready.

Defense definitely too inexperienced and immature early. I think Jay was counting on it to be a bit better than it was. Got a bit better in the late part of the season. A mature transfer in this area who is defense first would help I believe. Need McCarthy to anchor. Trethewey has improved greatly. Celebrini is average at best. Hopefully Fondrk matures and can contribute.

Jay turned this program around from mediocrity under Albie to 3 straight FF’s including a Championship Game appearance. This was a bad year that I think will inform him on many things for the future. The team leadership as far as players just wasn’t there obviously. I think the team lost key players and the recruitment mix wasn’t quite right. I think this season will make him even better than he was. Let’s see how he responds to his first bad year before anyone labels him negatively.

Agreed poor roster construction, sucky portal, poor power play , and seemingly no ability to light a fire under anyone.
