BU Hockey '25-'26: Can we keep up the run to Vegas?

Well, I think the silver lining(if you could call it that) is we don’t have to play at BC in a QF. That was our gift if we won. Now home against Vermont, then QF at UConn with a win.

But I agree, that game was rough. Penalties, passing up shots for an extra pass that isn’t there, turnovers, not scoring on power plays(including a 5 x 3) Greatest hits of all of the worst of this year.
Except not (unless I missed it) the greatest hit of all: drop pass to the enemy in our own zone.

If BU had played well and won last night I would have taken that matchup. BU just swept BC and that team is struggling right now.
While that looks good on paper, winning a second game there in a row would be a long shot. I mean any game right now is a question, but don’t really want to be eliminated there.

Who? Hockey East or BU? You're making it sound like this came out of nowhere, This is the exact same schedule Hockey East uses every year. The top seed of the bottom 6 gets the first game. And I'm thinking Hockey East isn't concerned about a Patriot League basketball game including one of its hockey teams' basketball teams that made it to Wednesday's game in the literal last second. These conversations happy every year. Schools have spring break. NCAA games are going to start at 2:00pm. If you can't make it for puck drop, get there when you can. If you want to watch the basketball game instead, do that.

Which now also negatively impacts Wednesday’s attendance since the championship game is at the same time.

For that matter, who is the “genius” who made Wednesday a 6:30pm start? 7pm
Is bad enough on a weeknight.

Yeah 6:30 is rough on a weeknight. I'm sure there is no coordination between Hockey East and the Patriot league as far as which nights the games are, but it would seem as if the game could be at 7:00.
