As much as I'd had to lose a good rival - I've come up with your solution - See if you can transfer to NEWHA! Or I guess Atlantic Hockey and play against PSU. j/k - stay here and try to get better. It's good there are still a few of you that do care. It seems like there are a lot less tunneler fans around the forum now than what used to be.
Also, I am not a fan of rationalizing the decline of the tunneler program by saying they are still "good". It's not good enough for this program to be good, but not good enough to beat your main rivals on a consistent basis.
Has football become more important than hockey for the AD with the current state of things at Minnesota? The men's team is not having a good year. Are fans asking for a change there as well? Wondering if as long as the women's team is competitive and attendance doesn't decline to badly, they just renew the women's coach at the end of the season.I still care, but far less than six years ago when I'd go to almost all home games and about half on the road. Now, I can get lost making a lap around the concourse. At this point, I'll just hold my remaining thoughts for the future until the 2025-26 campaign wraps up.
I think some fans are asking for a change on the men's side. I'm not among those because it's just been one subpar year, but I am concerned about Motzko's age and his, so far, refusal to embrace the CHL rule. But he's got two years left on his contract after this one. It's a different situation.Has football become more important than hockey for the AD with the current state of things at Minnesota? Isn't that always true at every NCAA school with a football program? It's all about the dollar signs.Has football become more important than hockey for the AD with the current state of things at Minnesota?
A tough situation with trying to re-gel 2 jet lagged Olympians into the line up. Maybe they just should have sat the weekend out?Lost in overtime to Duluth, even with two of the four Olympians back. The streak of getting outshot ends (Minnesota outshot Duluth 33-32), but they did not play well.
Unless St Cloud can get at least two points off Wisconsin tomorrow, Minnesota will get St Cloud. Duluth vs Mankato,Are we still rationalizing that this team is good?
Ended the season with 4 straight losses. Heck of an endorsement for the current management.
And to boot, I believe they will get the landcows in the first round of the WCHA playoffs...Boy, that could be a disaster waiting to happen.
