I can't argue the pp is not very strong and that is one of the differentiators for this young team, however, I can say that we are not that far from teams that you would have a hard time saying they lack offensive talent. BU (14.9%), Maine (17%), Dartmouth (17.5%) UNH (13.9%). It may be structure, puck luck, etc.

Wheels fell off the bus and the game was essentially over 1 minute after that goal was called back. Brutal.

Prob Angus Crookshank? Tyler K was the last 100 point scorer. I mean last couple of seasons certain Seniors had decent end of career years but to say we've had a super star..years.

Well… you can’t expect to win if you only play the first half of a game and take the second half off - especially against the #7 team in the country.
Notice how the 2 teams responded after that goal callback. PU scores within 30 seconds, and that was essentially it. UNH had an absolutely abysmal PP soon thereafter with nothing going on (did they even get a shot?)
Better coaching won tonight. It was pretty clear. PU seemed to know exactly what UNH was doing there in the third. No good chances until garbage time.
Giving up 5 goals in a period is impressive in all the wrong ways…
Again, I don’t know where we get another win this year. It’s been well over a month since our last against Colgate, and it may not be until October before our next, but I hope to be wrong.

Well that was fun. I think scoring in the first 2 minutes might have been the worse thing for the team. We then turned to MS7 prevent defense which let to 6 unanswered goals.
The positive of the night was it was nice to see Porta Potty there in his 36-jersey presenting his big donation to the team.

What a disappointing finish to what started off as a dog fight that the boys were winning. Agree with Flag, as soon as that goal was taken off the board the ice tilted, the air in the building was sucked out, and the boys essentially gave up. Up to that point, everything was working. Still optimistic for the long term, but I would like to see Coombs get some experience at BU. Todd Angilly killed it (despite the mike issues) and we scored on the PP!!

UNH played the 1st two periods exactly as you need to play PC. I was impressed but disappointed because everyone will review the tape of those two periods going forward.
Does anyone think that was a good goal? The announcers were definitely confused.

What we wondered about was how Leaman got a review given he lost his challenge but most likely that wasnt the case. The 4 officials got together prob felt they had to look at it and that was the correct thing to do. Sadly...the 'Cats never recovered.
A bigger question for us was why didnt MS7 call a time out after those 2 quick goals? Or was the TV time out sufficient..
Jellsville...we do seem to forget this is (outside of Fitz?) you mention this is an entirely new dcorp. Still...by now you have to be able to handle adversity and push through?
But even then..how can the team continue to take the hit when this is a year in..year out repeat of failing to rise to the occasion?
Next season will be the final year of MS7's contract..the team will lose players to graduation and most likely the portal or pro offers. Those that remain will have this tough season under their belt. Will the lessons learned transfer?
Teams can still ask to review if they don’t have their timeout. But if it doesn’t get overturned they get assessed a delay of game penalty (2 min). Leaman took the risk and was rewarded.
I don’t think it was an issue of if he hit it with his hand, it was moreso was the puck gonna go in based on the trajectory off of his hand. Based on the side view it looked like it wasnt going to go in without hitting off the goalies back, but the overhead I guess they saw it was gonna go in regardless. If it was aided by the goalies back it would have counted as an own goal I believe.
Personally I thought it was pretty close, and a bit surprised they overturned it based on the call of “good goal” on the ice. I digress though.
I also share your sentiment I fear a mass exodus in the portal this coming May if they don’t win a few down the stretch. Will a mass exodus push the AD to make an early decision on MS7 before the contract is up?
