Thank you, Sundance Channel, for showing Dante's Peak this afternoon.
Truly one of the best bad movies I've ever seen

This makes me want to see it. Sign me up for films, not movies.Currently watching Hamnet. I am not a fan of films. I prefer movies. I can see why it’s nominated for so many awards and Jessie Buckley is wonderful but if I’m being honest, I’m kinda bored.
Both my wife and I were not impressed. We didn't dislike the movie, but we couldn't understand how it was nominated. We just didn't find the characters worthy enough to root for.Watched "One Battle After Another" this weekend, very good, my pick to win Best Picture over Bugonia, that being the only other one I've seen thus far. Interesting weekend to have watched it, though.
Agreed. Mediocre at best. Both my wife and I were not impressed. We didn't dislike the movie, but we couldn't understand how it was nominated. We just didn't find the characters worthy enough to root for.
yeah, I was excited to see it, and could barely finish it. Very disappointing, honestlyBoth my wife and I were not impressed. We didn't dislike the movie, but we couldn't understand how it was nominated. We just didn't find the characters worthy enough to root for.
I am not certain but this might be the 1st time in a long while that I haven't seen a single nominee in any category before the awards. I do have until March so I would bet I will see one or 2 which I do have on watchlists but I don't feel a lot of drive to make sure I see them. The last 2 movies I watched were Weapons and The Substance.

I watched Casablanca on TCM and then watched One Battle. All I could think was "How did both of these get nominated for best picture?"
