"If great powers abandon even the pretense of rules & values for the unhindered pursuit of their power & interest, the gains from transactionalism will become harder to replicate" -- Carney's speech at Davos is an extended criticism of the damage Trump is doing (though he's not mentioning his name)bsky.app
This is going well.

All it would take is for a bunch of these CEOs to confront Trump in front of the world and tell him he's unfit to run a hot-dog stand, and his presidency would be over. Seriously. But none of them has the balls to do it.bsky.app
Sure, but so could any other Republican. Here's the thing - they don't want to do it.
They could buy and sell congress 50x over and collectively tell Trump to go fuck himself. In fact they could buy an impeachment.
But they don't because he works tirelessly on their behalf at the expense of everyone else.
Trump's a big man sharing other people's texts but for anything about him it's redaction after redaction.
He got a huge part of the Cuban vote in Florida. The Leopard is full.I'm not gonna lie, there was a NYT headline about Cubans being shocked that they're being deported and it made me chuckle.
Goes without saying doesn't it? But the post I replied to mentioned CEOs specifically.Sure, but so could any other Republican.
