What used to be a great show when I was a kid was "This Week in Baseball" or was it "This Weak in Baseball".

So, shutout at home by a team that just got swept by VT last weekend. Maybe it is because they have a nice new arena because that is the logic, right? Oh wait, this is a team that is homeless (same development as Potty probably) and is playing a game Sunday (start or end of the WEAK?) at a women's rink where admission is free.

I really thought we had a decent shot at them..but they took full advantage of a team that wasn't up to the task.

Man how much is it toask that they are up to the task? Sunday is huge.

Hey Ref. When you have a leader that has no idea how to adjust every games a crap shoot. The players on the ice for UNH this year in my opinion are better than 2.1 goals a game which won't win you a ton of games. UNH is only giving up 2.7 a game which is great until you go back to my first point. If I was Souza i'd get the Tournas kid locked up now because he's the type of player you can build around. The recruiting has been better and he did what he had to purging 6 recruits that probably wouldn't have made a big impact [the Alicia kid maybe the exception] The offense needs a new look their defensive style of hockey is not consistent so adjust. Souza just never lears

Another new recruit..Cody Costello 2009bd. Plays for the Woodbridge Wolfpack 16u AAA. 6'2 -180 Defenseman. Lots of upside from many scouts.

We need a hero that is for sure...! Great post and spot on...a leopard never changes his spots...and in our case...it's more than obvious.

As it stands, your broke your promise to leave under your original identity by returning, and this week (weak?) alone while I left you to your own devices, you managed to spew out at least a half-dozen posts filled with vacuous drivel, while I was away at a corporate reprogramming retreat in the Midwest, not posting a thing.

So to recap, your original promise was broken within less than a couple of months, and your latest promise from last weekend lasted all of a few days. You just can't seem to help yourself, it's kind of pathetic actually. Honor is not your strong suit, mon ami.

How's about you coming clean, and returning as your original self? Seems way less complicated than your current path, which seems exhausting, just sayin' ...

So now MS7 thinks some sort of community out reach is important.

Super convenient for the players to add about 3 hours of travel (and travel logistics) to their practice schedule. The "community beyond the Seacoast" is all 45+ minutes away in drive time from campus. I thought the rink renovation was to give students nicer more convenient spaces, community rink lockers rooms... super nice.

You know what is easier than figuring out how to schedule practice is Conway?

The coach to hold press conferences (acting like he actually wants to be there) and be present for events at the Whitt with fans.

Upside, I don't believe for one second this Concord and community practices is a MS7 idea. MS7 has spent years hiding from the public unless schilling for a contract for himself. Is this the University President or somebody on the Board of Trustees pushing for community outreach from UNH? It is likely really around budgets and they remembered the Hockey team used to be an asset for the University. One can hope they have started caring again.

The event, and MS7's subsequent comments, have Jimmy T's fingerprints all over them. Why else such an about-face after a decade in charge ...

Per Heisenberg.... UNH recruits George Mccaffery, Sebastion Bradshaw, and sadly Jack Sadowski are no longer UNH recruits. I feel bad for the Sadowski kid and hope him and the others good luck.

Sad indeed ... yet somehow, I am not surprised, the appalling lack of generational legacies from prior UNH players' families continues unabated, and this is not something we can saddle only MS7 with. Same was the case during most (all?) of the Umile Era. Not sure it went as far back as Charlie Holt's time though ...

I remember the handwringing on our threads when UNH lost out to PC for the goaltending services of Jon Gillies, born in Concord, N.H., in 1994 to Bruce Gillies, UNH, G, 1982/83-1984/85. But, UNH went with Casey DeSmith, born in Rochester, N.H., which worked out fine for 2012/13-2013/14 and should have for 2014/15 also, but …….

Jon Gillies has played in 35 NHL games. Compare to Casey DeSmith’s 209 NHL games and counting in Dallas, where 8 more games will move him ahead of Ty Conklin in the UNH goalie alum NHL games played list.

The run for top 4 in HE starts tonight. Go Cats!! I anticipate a good crowd with the long layoff and no Saturday game. UNH takes game one 5-2.
